They found out last episode that if Chuck and Amara died that Billie plans to revert everything how its suppose to be and rule, so meaning Eileen stays dead, and plus for good measure she planned for Jack to basically suicide himself to kill Chuck and Amara.

Releasing any time during Mando S2 would be suicide anyway, best to release a week after. Especially to get people reason to keep the subscription with it nearing the end of the month, Christmas is the best of both worlds for the show.
