I don't get the complaint. Using stat boost items is a valid strategy.

Besides, if we’re gonna gatekeep like that, I’d like to point out that I never use drives, limits or summons for bosses. So anyone who does is automatically discarded from having played level 1 legitimately.

in the end i think it's better to not gatekeep and say that Level 1 is just not gaining EXP
whilst adding those challenges is just part of the run

Ex: KH2FM Level 1 No X No Y No Z sort of thing

personally id say that eliminate a lot of confusion as to what is and isn't allowed

Anyone who doesn't play through level 1 KH2 while reciting the entirety of Agatha Cristie's library of detective stories word for word wasn't playing a legitimate level 1 run

personally, i prefer doing a level 1 playthrough while reciting every secret report in the series by memory and if i stumble on a word i have to start the run over

But that's only valid while playing the game on a unicycle and performing the entire Macarena during boss fights

Playing crit for the first time and I completely agree. Any finisher or landing can get you punished for no reason cause of the end lag

I just got to olympus Colisseum because I cheesed my way through Beast's Castle and Land of the dragons boss fights by using mickey.

The 1st fight in Beast's Castle was so easy.

But then the 2nd fight. I don't even know what I'm doing.
