I suppose the real question here is how do you define a Sora/Riku? How much of an entity has to come from the original to count?

Oh boy Philosophy!

Ship of Theseus type beat

So we can safely count Sora and Data-Sora

Roxas came directly from Sora's heart as a nobody, so we could say that he's part Sora

technically there were 2 Data Soras before his heart came back and connected to the new one right

or was it just the same 1 with wiped memories

Ah, but Roxas's appearance* was taken from *Ventus instead.

So he's also Ventus.

Oh are you counting Remind Sora as a data sora?

Yes, same as Xion is both part Sora and Part Kairi

no no, in Coded itself I thought there was a point where they were done with Sora and then had to bring him back again so he had no memories of everything that just happened for a bit

Ohhhhhhh

ReMind LimitCut Sora and Coded Sora are two separate entities in my eyes

was that the same Data Sora or two different ones

but yes Limit Cut should be separate imo

But that also begs the question of, is Vanitas* technically a Sora as well as being a Xehanort *and Darkness?

Depends if you define a Sora by them having literally any trace of Sora in them

If that’s the case we have
Actual Sora
Coded Sora
LimitCut Sora
Ventus
Vanitas
Roxas
Xion
Namine

THAT'S RIGHT

Because Kairi is a Princess of Heart, she technically can't have* a Nobody, but because her heart was in Sora's, Namine is *technically* her Nobody, but *also Sora because of that connection.

Hence her ability to manipulate the memories of everyone connected to Sora.

Now let’s do Riku
Actual Riku
Ansem/Ansem-Riku
Repliku
Coded Riku
Dark Riku if you really want to count them separately from Repliku

You could also count Ansem and Ansem-Riku as two separate entities I suppose

Dark Riku is the divergent path for Repliku where he doesn't accept his fate, so they're technically the same, but also different.

Now that we’re doing this, I’m just gonna do Xehanort
Actual Xehanort (YX not separate, same guy at different points in his life)
Terranort
Xemnas
Ansem
The faceless replicas (goat dudes)
Most, if not all, of the True Org 13

That’s…less Norts than I was expecting

Maybe because I didn’t bother to list them out. It’s more than Sora and Riku combined.

Oh, and I guess there’s Memory Xehanort and the Data Battles if you want to count that.

I'm not sure I would count the Data battles since they're the same as their real life counter parts, if they had more personality or something to make the feel different from their real life counter parts, then sure

They’re just constructs mimicking combat data, so it is hard to count them as people. You could say that for Limitcut Sora as well.

They’re really just elaborate simulations

yeah I woudn't count Limitcut Sora

Data sora and data riku do count since there is more to their characters than being stimulations

What about the residents of Data Twilight Town?
