then riku does a stellaris world cracker on destiny islands

and suddenly a bunch of enraged mutant marmite starts trying to eat him

starts joking with them by olympus

and turns into lil goober

in deep jungle he was still edgy and shit

Riku is the one bent out of shape of only being stuck on the islands Sora has always been cool with it

most of the plot on destiny islands revolves around:
1. riku is better than sora
2. sora simps hard for kairi
3. riku would enjoy stellaris genocide

that doesnt seem very not depressing

its like giving the underdog kid god powers cliche

in fact it basically is that

and kh2 sora had it all at the beginning like hell yeah ring around the rosy with donald and goofy fkin 4 year old me at disneyland would have killed to do that

and they gave him a goofy happy theme

and suddenly made him the wolfpack leader from the movie greyhound

The way I almost bursted into giggles at work

ahhh but that's so tired to me- I like it when characters are honest with themselves- that's what set Sora apart from other Square protagonists but also other KH characters

Because of who he is and the support system he always had (R, and K, and then D and G), he was able to be upfront about how he was feeling.

It went against the Square philosophy of "hide how you feel cause smexy pretty bad boy angst" but also the Disney one of "just try and be happy you'll push through ok" he was kind of a mixture of both.

It's subtle, but I think it's there. It's why I like the guy so much lol some folks for years have tried to write Sora off as "one note" this, and "generic" that, but I always said nay 😤

Honestly Bio-Roxas’s Sora psychology video was pretty spot on with how Sora is both internally and externally

2 of them.

1. People are gonna suddenly be like "Wow I never knew Sora was so deep the whole time."
