I can see why

you'd probably enjoy riku's mode more

cuz his gameplay style and everything is a lot less customizable than sora's

you can't edit his deck for instance

it's more of a mode where you play with what the game gives you

Riku’s mode after a certain point made me wish the game was more like that and that I could have more reason to keep playing as him

I miss the actual disney boss battles in KH. Most of them were really fun, especially Oogie Boogie and Scar

The significance of a Disney boss means you get more hyped than the appearance of some random world heartless, and often the boss room is super cool for them (Scar as mentioned is a particular example of this)

1, Birth By Sleep, Chain of Memories, 2, and even Dream Drop Distance were good at mixing Heartless/Dream Eater/Unversed bosses with actual humanoid battles
