Alot of it comes down to the interaction with the Kh crew, more often than not, when the disney characters interact with SDG during their visits, it feels more real unlike other worlds where it feels like SDG are just there Arendelle

I think that's one of the things that Days struggled with was Disney incorperation. Granted, for the plot of the game, it made sense that they didn't interact with disney characters hardly at all, with 2 exceptions. But it made it felt like some kid running around in these worlds that look like Disney worlds

I like the fact that Roxas was merely an observer. Made him feel more isolated and alien to all around him

roxas is not SDG
he is not into meddling

It's only meddling if the Heartless aren't involved

which is half of each world plot

I believe Monstropolis explained it best. Sora referred to them as exterminators. So yeah, if there are pests there they get involved, otherwise they stay out.
