I'm still confused how to Disney world timelines work in KH since Xehanort and his friends just ditched Jafar's task and left him hanging for what seventy or sixty years just for someone to get the lamp from the Cave of Wonders.  Are Disney worlds just Disney films put on pause until you come back to them and push play like a VHS?

The timespan is not aligned and are seen as reset for some cases.

Every world has its own time axis. Years in one can be hours in another.

It's probably just KH just reusing the same properties over and over to fill out the games.

SE's big firetruck up since Sakaguchi leaving was FF14 1.0 in 2010, which had have happened even if Sakaguchi was still at the company

And aside from small project blunders here and there, you can't say SE is in any sort of real decline quality wise considering since then FFXIV has boomed into being the biggest MMO on the market, FF7R did super well, CCFF7R did super well, KH continues to do super well, etc

Theyre doing well, sure, but you have to admit the business practices theyve been having have been questionable. They also lost a ton of money last year.

And if you're gonna tell me "but Spirit Within" the situation is much murky-ier than that

Poor management, miscommunications; every company has them sure, but sometimes they look plain incompetent.

Sometimes it's story telling, sometimes it's investments in certain products.

Games either take too long or not long enough; then they have commitment issues lol like all that 15 DLC we were supposed to get, or the complete disaster that was Nova Crystalis' life span.

It even seeps into the games- like 7R? The famous story of Nomura not knowing he was the director til he saw the trailer, KH being on multiple platforms, the list goes on

And that's just the obvious stuff lol those are the big IPs- ask the Mana or Chrono fanbase how they've been treated by Square 😔

Questionable business practices and companies go hand in hand lmao. 2022 also didn't have that much big-name flagship releases, with stuff like Crisis Core being at the end of the year.

We've also moved past the games taking too long era of SE by a few years now, the mid 2010s was them getting shit together and restructuring after getting FF14 into shape
