think it just made more sense with how they were going for the boss battles

bbs maleficent as a boss works better than kh1 maleficent for the way the boss battles functioned, but i think maleficent as a whole is a bit of an odd choice for a boss lol... they could've done terranort + dismiss and follow the kh1/kh2 final boss model + made 4 xehanort-influenced characters stand in as the 4 bosses

i get splitting the Actual bbs final bosses into 3 separate field tracks bc choosing just one as a boss and leaving the other two as fields in world tour would've seemed a bit off, but maleficent as a boss is just ??? to me sdfsdf

Yeah you could calculate the best speedrun time just given the songs and track length, with little deviation if done right

For world tour paths would be taken into account too

@Kylvex#3759 they prob wanted Ansem to be the focused antagonist in kh1, fighting maleficent first would have given it less impact

For the MoM kh1 section

As for bbs and why they chose her instead of someone else I have no clue

Vanitas would have been neat

Just any of the final bosses tbh, Venitus, Master Xehanort, or Terranort

yes the feat is just the bar, not the AE stamp

its not JUST about the shortest songs. remember, there are some areas that need specific colored stars. for example Destiny Islands may be shorter than Rage Awakened, but I may already have all the stars I need to progress from KH1 worlds

so you've gotta calculate all the different combination of routes too

bc some just ask for any stars

but yeah once someone DOES find that most optimal route given the combinations, its not much more work outside of actually executing it

at which point challenge runs come in with all FC or all AE or in my case, I'm wanting to try to do it blindfolded lmao

it never was about it being a super huge challenge in the first place so its not supposed to be "impressive" (even tho i think it is)

I've been mapping out my own route without watching any other people's runs and just having to calculate the song lengths themselves is already enough of a hassle, but after that, having to find the optimal star routes is also gonna be a woozy

Anyone notice how different difficulties sometimes use different parts of the song? Like for beginner some of the more speedy parts are replaced by the instruments in the back if that makes sense
