Well given the sales of kh3 I think it is kinda safe to assume that a lot of people wanted a return to form and the original KH style of gameplay is what draws in the most people

That’s not to say that people don’t like evolution in the series but, y’know what I mean

totally! I can especially see that with long time fans
but that goes back to what FF and their fans have been dealing with for a few games now

as nice as it would be, these series are gonna evolve to get all kinds of players in

and well, MoM is one of those evolutions haha

Cus like, it’s not really evolving from anything we’ve gotten in the series so far, and I kinda doubt there’s anything in the game that the next games will ever draw from

Kinda like how kh3 has been able to pull from almost every corner of the series, taking forms, shotlocks, flowmotion, having multiple characters, keyblade upgrades and even something so small that I’d say calls back upon Days with being able to switch back to lower magic tiers

it really is the culmination of everything so far

which the optimistic view leads to a bright future with new ideas and experiments
