I just don't like it because you have to use a cable. Really, why can't the Switch have bluetooth headphone support?

well, there are bluetooth adapters
but thats it

Even those aren't a perfect solution because they take up the USB-C port. I mean, Joy-Cons already communicate via bluetooth so the technology is there. A simple update is all it would take.

i have enough with these wired headphones and a male-male cable

you definitely got a defective wire or a loose connection somewhere lol

i almost exclusively use headphones when i play docked

plugged into my monitor

or maybe this male-male cable does not support correctly the console audio when its docked

i have also plugged in headphones to the switch itself and played handheld just fine too

so it's on your end somewhere

i guess the console when docked uses some kind of different audio codec, which is not suppored by this cable at all

could just be an old cable too

the cable it is old, so i guess its something about incompatibility

i tried my headphones with the console docked and they work flawlessly

i've found that i have an easier time with the songs in space paranoids/the grid/system sector because they're very consistent throughout. makes it easy to keep a beat for the whole song

most of what i said still applies in that case, the 1 1 123 pattern is much easier to handle using more than 1 button and since in 1 button mode it registers every button as any other button, you can use any buttons you want to do it lol

but for the case of doubles you wont need to worry about em

I've been trying the d-pad method it's quite good or at least it's more consistent I haven't been able to get it down completely though

I think it's just im devolving into mashing at some point instead of following the rhythm because of panic lol

My only issue with the cable is it gets in the way. I have to constantly be shoving it under the system or around my hand to actually be able to play.
