They basically did it in Remake but KH2 showed me they really wanted to see if it was feasbile.

With it ending on Forgotten Capital and Wutai is confirmed to be moved to Part 3, I think it will be quite meaty for the rest of it

You have Northern Crater, all the weapons, Lifestream segment, Huge Materia you need to look for. I am fully expecting Deepground to be relevant somewhat too. And even a war between Shinra and Wutai with how much they have built up for it in Remake.
