Please god no. E3 was a dumpster fire of ballooning expectations, empty promises, and a mass media feeding frenzy. I could not be happier that it's dead.

Never mind what happened in recent years with it's focus on streamers, youtubers, and Lord forbid--ugh--influencers.

I mean sure the past 3 years were kind of disappointing, but before that E3 was a lot of fun to watch

And I'm sure it'll be great with everything that's been happening game-wise

Oh yes, I'm sure it'll great with the industry becoming more creatively-stagnant by the minute; being left to helplessly watch as mobile games trample everything in their path. Utterly fantastic I'm sure.

Issue with E3 for these companies is that they would be forced to have to show something, and that means revealing stuff earlier than expected. Which is why so many of them have ditched it and instead just do their own shows.

Something like the Game Awards or even Summer Gamesfest doesn't put that pressure as it's just a melting pot of everything
