This is odd considering that while yes Borderlands genuinely pioneered the system or at the very least created a version of it that went mainstream as we know it, I don't think anyone in the modern day would say they're at the top of their game with it

I mean for example Team Ninja uses a loot system in their Nioh games (and obviously Wo Long and JACK GARLAND'S Game), and I think that system is better than Borderlands.

Last time they showed it publicly, it wasn't received well. So I guess any changes they made now they want it tested before the public sees it.

based on what I know the game has made pretty significant changes, just showing that would ultimately be better.

As much as Randy wants to make me 🤢, he's kinda got some good points, though I would say a lot of the reasons why other franchises haven't succeeded as well is direction and quantity. Borderlands is one of the most generous looter shooters out there, at least from what I've seen. And I feel like many games try to avoid "borderlands but..." Which is strange cuz the abundance of loot is what makes it appealing. But it's also like they focus like pretty much only on guns and weaponry, where as a lot of games have other things to chase, typically armor
