The basis is the same but they changed the multiplayer. Now you need to actually unlock characters.

Only new players have to unlock the characters. If you played the original game at all you still have everything

There was also a early access bundle for O2 that also let you access everything even if you’re a new player

The fact that a brand new hero is over half-way through the battle pass is firetrucked though

There are so many weird things with this game

I think having the hero within the battle pass is fine, other games do this where they have actual function items like guns or characters locked to the battle pass

As for where it is on the battle pass, that's a different story

If she were at the beginning of the battle pass it wouldn’t be as big of a deal.

CoD’s new operators don’t even change the gameplay and they put them at the very start.
