I'm so torn because 3 3d Mario games on switch but on the other hand, all the details are not making it easier for me to buy

Unfortunately we don’t really have much choice if we want to play these games (for people who never had the chance to play them), it would be as expensive if not more to buy a Wii that can also play GameCube games, a Nintendo 64, and all three games.

Bear in mind, SM64 effectively doubled in price; costing roughly $10 on Wii
