And that’s ignoring the more practical issues including but not limited to:
-Insufficient power grids
-Worse mileage than gas vehicles
-The vast majority of power plants still relying on fossil fuel
-The mining of materials and production of these vehicles requires fossil fuels

Oh yeah. And they need to be shipped in gas-guzzling trucks.

I mean the future implies you know the future- it's the first step in a larger process

These companies were told about the environmental problems we deal with now as early as the 70's- there was time to find alternatives they just didn't want to.

And if they had started in the 70’s we’d be in a much better spot
