The game has so many little references in there lol

They snuck in the Haunted Mansion “999 happy haunts but there’s always room for 1,000” for a Halloween event

There was a real clever one which was the constant reference to the year “1937” which was when Snow White was released. Another was the opponent school’s headmaster being based on Merlin and his name was Ambrose the 63rd, 63 being a reference to 1963 when the film was released.

Oh and they snuck in a sea salt ice cream Easter Egg too

I wouldn't put the blame on him that much

The problems lies with Squares at-the-time management

And people love to blame Nomura but he was left with quite the mess to clean up. You don’t just change leadership in the middle of a project without major delays.

As a fair man tho, THAT game was taking a long time cause of him quite partially

He kept adding to the story, tweaking mechanics (I know at one point he wanted it to be multiple disks), toyed with completely changing it several times from the ground up (as I've said before he briefly wanted to make it a musical -_-)

I’d wager it was going to take a long time regardless
