E33 has a huge issue in terms of admitting just because these people have reasons why they do things still means that most of the key characters are just straight up terrible people

the story's biggest issue is

that it doesn't handle the entire topic regarding the people in Lumiere very well (and whether they are real or not) so can't blame people for having this divisive interpretation. If the intention was to understand them as real people then they did a horrible job because so many people including me shrug them off as not being real

 

and regardless of

the interpretation there's still people that think the family did nothing wrong which is another firetrucked up thing
