There is a lot you can push with PG13 ratings and both characters are still doable

yeah i feel like you can still pull off Carnage to the limits of a PG13 rating

it's fine it's more of a longer-term thing I see a lot online I'm sure it's a very complex issue but it's funny how people shit talk casuals all the time and I'm like damn Am i ruining their fun by existing and enjoying what I enjoy just not to the level they do

Maybe not just simply me as an individual but a collective of people like me who just kind of enjoy things at are more smaller scale level don't feel the need to dive super into hardcore or The Meta learn absolutely everything which then leads to us getting "pandered" to

I think people are fine with casuals like unilaterally, its the normies that are the problem, cause there ARE tangible differences between the two, they just oft get lumped 2gether

It's sad to see how Sony is heading w/ PlayStation consoles and licenses that expire/get revoked. No games No physical No buttons PS4 was handled so much better. I guess play has limits after all.

I reiterate; Playstation peaked with PS2.

So I'd put it like this, lets take Kingdom Hearts: A casual is someone where like yeah they played all the games but maybe they didn't watch the cutscenes for the phone games and they don't dive deep on the lore- they're just chilling along for the ride, that's fair, that's me with Dark Souls games. Some folks are really into the environmental story telling, or challenge runs and I'm just like I'm here for the combat and challenges or something. A normie is someone who makes fun of and casts judgment on things they don't even play. They also like to jump into fandoms and antagonize, throw their wright around, or otherwise police things and make fun of something. Most casual will stay out of fandoms, and if they're there, its mostly for fanfics and fan art and shit. A casual KH fan will be like "yeah I dont really get the plot but its fun, I like experiencing it." A normie KH fan would be like "UGH this disney shit is so cringe, I can't take it seriously, KH2 is where the series should have ended, people who take the dumb disney key game seriously are dumb."

Its little things but they matter.

That's why a lot of Final Fantasy fans hate 7 and 15- because they feel they wanna appeal to gamers who DON'T like RPGs, turn-based, action, whatever. They're games that wanna appeal to ball-and-gun gamers who say shit like "man i aint gonna play no ANIME GAME." Its not really about turn based like Liftea always talks about (no shade) it's about the implication of Squares optics. People can say whatever they want about Persona 5 but its true to Atlus' turnbased roots. Its like Mass Effect; EA made Bioware make every game after the first one made then faster and more action based, downplayed the rpg build mechanics and basically turned into a Gears of War cover shooter but you can do psychic shit on a cooldown.

And what really fucks me off about it is that these are the people behind every decision gaming companies make that we don't like. First it was lootboxes, then it was battle passes, then it was battle royals, then it was hero shooters and live service games, now it's no physical; they're catering to whales with disposable income because like with Disney and Disneyland, which Knight and I are both familiar with, they wanna price out the middle class to appeal to the rich well off types who aren't REALLY fans they're just their to the spectacle, but all they care about is profit within 2-4 years instead of the long game of 5-10.
