The final story quest of Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] has gone live in Japan, with a total of around 40 minutes of cutscenes.

Unfortunately, there has been no word on when the Global version of the title will be receiving this final story update. The North American Twitter account has remained silent.

Thankfully, Everglow has uploaded a video compiling all of the final update scenes with translations! You can view this video below:

Okay yeah so maybe it’s just me but getting an announcement for what you would imagine would be a game to arrive around the 20th anniversary at this years E3 just doesn’t seem too far fetched, but maybe jump festa or something is more likely

I just wouldn’t see why they wouldn’t whip up something for a place where they’ll garner the most attention for it, especially if it does turn out the next game is KH4

or kh: versus 13 edition

Well, always take it with a grain of salt. I just mainly know from being familiar with DEB's trends for special events (if there's an anniversary or special date to be had for a certain franchise or movie, they'll usually put out an event or prize to celebrate, they'll dedicate a certain type of event and new or certain/specific characters to obtain on the week a new Disney movie comes out, etc), and the fact that when this was done for the first and the last time prior to this month's event schedule (making Sora and Aqua available as characters to get in the game during that time), it was coinciding with the release of KH3, so, just making something of an educated guess that there might be promotional reasons for the event (and new characters in Donald and Goofy's KH variants), it happening near the same time as Global is marked to end service just makes me think we will probably get the official second part's translation around the same time DEB's event will start, if not also generating some hype for the future if there's going to be an announcement of a new project.

But yeah, even if we don't get anything, still a lotta fun to be excited for.

This may be hoping for a lot, but maybe global will get the update on friday? Definitely by next friday though. Hopefully. This comment will age poorly.

The anniversary is in March. I'd like to believe it is celebrated with a release of something, and not a mere announcement. And since that's pretty early in 2022, I would say it's reasonable to count on an announcement of something either now or TGS. Waiting until Jump Festa would be cutting it close announcing something only three months prior.

TGS is also pretty likely though since September is when Dark Road becomes playable offline and most importantly, ends its story.

Lol and still no update for Global - but I guess tomorrow is a possibility since JP got it last Monday? ?‍♂️
