I believe they said they started work on it back in 2020 so it’s only been two, almost 3 years at this point.

And while moving from Unreal 4 to Unreal 5 isn’t a super painful process, it is still one that takes time.

Square Enix literally screwed Nomura over so bad with Versus 13

It went thru development hell for years, was reduced to FFXV and even then so much content was stripped from it because of Hajime Tabata that it was unrecognizable

This is basically Nomura's vengeance arc to make Versus 13 the way he wanted to originally 💀💀💀

The whole history of it, it turning into 15 and 15's history is both tragic and fascinating, I recommend watching a video on it. It explains ReMIND quite a bit
