What role do you guys think Kairi will have?
Personally, I hope Kairi gets much more screentime with the cast. That way, we can learn who SHE is as a person, especially independent from Sora.

I would not be surprised in the least if her role is a direct copy of KH3. She’s just training under Master Aqua instead of with Lea this time. Then they’ll be reunited at the end of the game, Kairi will maybe do one cool thing, and Nomura will consider that enough character development. Then, he’ll just rip her away from Sora again since apparently that’s the only thing capable of motivating Sora 🙄

I want, no, I need Kairi to have more to her character than “Sora’s damsel in distress” I just don’t know if the KH writers are capable of that.

The New Seven Lights subplot was kinda abandoned in KH3 so I wouldn’t be surprised if it was picked back up in another game with Kairi being somebody else’s target.

He did a fantastic job with his own game series, so I'm pretty sure things will look amazing with him by Nomura's side

I hadn’t heard anything about writers from TWEWY, but I believe I remember seeing here that the Dark Road writer(s) would be on this project too.

I think Nomura mentioned her in an interview after IV was announced.

They would be writing the script alongside Oka (who has been credited as scenario writer since Dream Drop Distance).
