He’s literally the physical embodiment of negativity. If that’s not psychopathic, I don’t know what is.

let's hope vanitas never finds social media

he would be the most powerful being ever

with all the negative vibes lmao

No? He wants the X-Blade because he’s been manipulated into thinking that forging it is the only way to be whole and not in pain.

Also he’s not being an ass on purpose, he hasn’t been given the opportunity to express anything other than negativity.

Also when he, Ven and Sora were talking to each other, he was pretty calm

Although it's a small thing compared to what he's done/said but yeah haha

I feel like there's a subsect of KH fans that see Vanitas as like a frothing at the mouth angry boy, being the anime character deliquent who smirks all the time like the synthe guy from Soul Eater with triangle teeth, or a manic depressive nihilist cause of the BBS novel.

And while I don't deny there's aspects of that in him, I feel like on replay, he's more sarcastic and deadpan- like dominently.

Tl;dr he's just a grumpy teenager lmao

💀

omg yeah

Like Grumpy the dwarf from Snow White looks at him and just goes

"My son."

LMFAO!

D'aaaw Grumpy

Now I need someone to write a one-shot fic of Vanitas who hates everyone but every Sunday or something he hangs out with specifically Grumpy for tea.

Well put. He's really just an edgy, depressed teen with extremely low self-worth

Leave it to me. This is just the kind of cracky shit that gives me life!

If thats from the BBS novel, said novel is ambigious as to canonicity. Doesn't change the fact he outright says with glee that the X-blade will open the door that will summon keybearers from across multiverse to the KBGY to battle for KH. And none of it excuses his crimes or attempted crimes like spreading chaos, death across the worlds and attempted murder several times which he also does with glee and sadism.

And its implied he knows full well what his nature is - a True Darkness

none of that is true. in fact in kh3 he flat out states that he chose to be the way he is

Yah he started off as Darkness and from all indications in the games was just an evil crazy self-loathing pos from the go and chose to stay that way.

I'm sure he'll be back though due to popularity

I'm hampering my expectations for this game. I think it's aiming to look cool and I like the style that they're doing the game at least from the trailer, but I think we really need more information about it because at this point I'm starting to think the longer SE keeps a game hidden without consistent update the more dissatisfied we'll be because we'll be basing everything on the first trailer and knowing what I know about Versus XIII this game can't be another one of those.

KH3 was an overall disappointment (IMO) so that's fair I guess. I'm still grimacing over the inevitability that is Star Wars world due to cringe potential

I'd ask why but I feel like you wouldn't want to talk about it lol

I don't fully agree with this- Square from 2008-20, like, 18 was a in a real crap place- organizational wise. Since 3 and and the first 7R have come out, minus maybe Forspoken and FF16 getting 2(?) delays, like, they've gotten better.

I'm not advocating "no news is good news you guys" but, I'm saying have some faith is all

I have faith the story will be memorable. I am still a humongous Kingdom Hearts fan at heart. I liked the way Kingdom Hearts III handled all the characters' arcs and reunions, I felt like it needed to be spread out more to aid in the pacing because the latter half of Kingdom Hearts III seemed to be the most enjoyable part of it. I feel like side projects like 2.8 should have been more included in III and that maybe would have helped the game feel a bit more complete. Final Fantasy XVI was brilliantly made, and was probably the most I enjoyed a numbered title since X. The problem with it seems to be coming from the fact they want to focus on taking these huge leaps in graphics and "style" but also compromise things like interactive gameplay, minigames, little details like that. The Final Fantasy VII Rebirth game looks like so much fun cause there's so much content they're gonna have with the gold saucer involved. I mean things changed in gaming and I understand why keeping up with modern times and accessibility is important for games today, but I just don't like how a step forward always means we have to take a few steps back. If Kingdom Hearts IV is just a story focused game I'd be fine with that, but it would be even better with added substance like a night and day cycle, interactive NPCs, outfits, etc.

it's funny. as time goes on the more i realise some of the major complaints of KH3's story could apply to other games in the series. such as the important story stuff happening at the end. like with 1, DDD and BBS

Mickey Mouse clubhouse world when

Just sayin,

We can't prove Walt didn't somehow plan Kingdom Hearts 🤨🤔🫡

Square Enix did not exist in 1966

I don’t think it did

At least
