it's bad memories they're ignoring, the little things people don't like to think about. they're using memories of all five of them to make the sense of self

that's what im saying lol? that they're

not building the sense of self out of purely happy favorable memories anymore and that they learn to make the sense of self out of all the memories, including the bad ones, which is how u get the stuff like "im not good enough"

 

i remember joy explicitly stating something among the lines of

keep the best, toss the rest

basically repressing memories bad

and

getting a hocket penalty|| and ||walking into a glass door

are definitely not good lol

as we all know wikipedia is always right
