KHWaterBlock 297 Posted yesterday at 01:21 AM Square Enix have released new Kingdom Hearts IV screenshots following the cancellation of Kingdom Hearts Missing- Link. These show Sora in Quadratum fighting Heartless, Strelitzia, a playable King Mickey segment, Sora in a parking lot, and a Darkside Heartless. It's worth noting that while the same screenshots were shared across both Japanese and Global social media handles, the Japanese collection of screenshots contains a slightly different variation of the top first image. You can view the screenshots in our gallery below. Alongside these new screenshots, a message was shared with fans on the official Kingdom Hearts social media handles: Quote To our Kingdom Hearts community, We’re currently working hard on Kingdom Hearts IV and will continue pouring ourselves into the game’s development. We’re dedicated to making this an experience that lives up to your expectations! We’ve seen how excited you are, and we are truly grateful from the bottom of our hearts. We are equally excited and can’t wait to share more about Kingdom Hearts IV when the time is right. Until then, we appreciate your patience. Thank you for your continued support. NeoLimitForm 31 Posted yesterday at 01:53 AM The pre rendered scenes like Strelitizia in the middle and Sora in the bottom right look gorgeous. The actual gameplay scene up top looks a little rough, the shadows look especially out of place and flat to me. But it may be because of the fact that they're in a still frame. The other 2 gameplay ones look good though. Seems like it's quite a ways a way until we get the game, but it's nice that they're giving us an update without showing too much. I hope they keep this energy up until they have a set release date in mind.
DisneyXPixarfan95 37 Posted yesterday at 02:45 AM After three years of being off the KH13 site, three years and 1,131 days of no new Kingdom Hearts IV news we finally got some new news and Images for Kingdom Hearts IV. All I can say from the new images that they look fantastic, and I'm so impressed with the graphics and images of Sora, Strelitzia and King Mickey look in the Unreal Engine 5 compared to the first KHIV trailer released at the 20th Anniversary event 3 years ago. There's no doubt a new trailer for KHIV is imminent, and we will get it sometime next month in June during Summer Games Fest and I predict judging by the progress and graphics for Kingdom Hearts IV that it might come out sometime in 2026 likely mid-late 2026. SoraDaxjer28 263 Posted yesterday at 03:39 AM (Sora stands in a parking lot in a very, very modern city.) Does this mean he has learned how to drive?? That aside, I'm still looking forward to what Disney-based worlds shall appear. The earlier trailer hinted that Olympus might return (Donald and Goofy seemed to have been seeking out Hades for help), yet I am mostly interested in where the trio's travels shall take them this time. I doubt we shall spend the whole game in the one world. Now that I am stating it, I wonder if we shall see worlds based upon the live action adaptations of the animated films. It could work, considering how this is a relatively new section of the KH universe. Only time shall tell . . . . . . .

If you tap on the image and then press the arrow to the right of the image you'll see almost the same image with Japanese text, except the top screenshot looks different and the lighting looks better in it. I've pointed this out in the past, but after two year-long time skips since KH1, it's likely that Sora is at least 16 years old! As a result, he could learn to drive, which is terrifying. Imagine those clown shoes trying to hit the brakes. 1 SoraDaxjer28 reacted to this
Kid Ryan 26 Posted 20 hours ago I really truly hope we get a new Kingdom Hearts IV trailer at Summer Game Fest. If not then, there's always Tokyo Game Show, The Game Awards, or Jump Festa.

It looks a little better, but still rough. I don't mean that it looks bad but it still looks like they're early in development and have quite a ways to go. I imagine that 2027 will be the earliest it'd come out. Especially with FF7R Pt 3 coming up. Hopefully we don't get the breadcrumb trailers like the lead up to KH3 and they start showing actual trailers once they have a set release date in mind. Movies798 1,361 Posted 15 hours ago The playable Mickey segment is the best one, in my opinion. Mainly because I really like playing as other characters besides Sora. Love Sora, but I like other characters play style better. I really hope the playable Mickey is not too short though and it makes it into the final cut. 🙏🏿

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if it was 2027 either, but I hope we don't have to wait too long to get more substantial updates.

But it makes sense because Pureblood Heartless generally don't cast shadows, especially those Shadow variants. Everything else in that screenshot looks fine.
