So, I just came up with the craziest theory ever. Now, there are probably holes in this theory, so feel free to point them out. But...

 

What if Sora is the X-Blade? Think about it. Even in the final battle, after Ventus and Vanitas merge, the X-Blade is not complete. But what is Sora but a mix of the two? They've all effected each other so greatly...

 

You have to admit, there are many times when Sora seems something other than human. And the fact that Xehanort left other roads open, kind of gives me the impression that something like this could happen.

 

I mean, in the BbSFM secret ending, we see Master Xehanort, and then Ven and Sora both disappear from where they were. Could this be the reason? People think Master Xehanort planned everything in the series...

The X-blade is as gone as Kingdom Hearts itself because of the nature of the two entities. Anything is possible. although, sora being the X-blade is a tad far fetched only because it requires a heart of light and of darkness of equal strength...vanitas' hearts of darkness was beaten and its strength diminished. Sora's darkness could have been tempered when he became a heartless but does it make it on par with the strength of his/ven's light? i dont think so. But does that mean the X-blade cant come back through someone else? im sure it can.

 

Edit: As an afterthought, Sora does seem super human but then again he has similar qualities to Xehanort the apprentice. Ansem, the wise also said that Xehanort seemed to have super human qualities, im sure those similarities are their on purpose. Sora may be the light's answer to Xehanort, a sort of Yin Yang type of thing.

It could be possible that, if Vanitas is part of Sora through Ven, or in general, something or someone could trigger enough darkness in Sora and bring back Vanitas if not another being of darkness from him. In order to create the X-Blade a being of pure light and one of pure darkness would need to merge.

Also, Sora was born before Vanitus and Ven formed the X-blade.

It just wouldn't make any sense for two people to come together to form someone who was already around.

other than Vanitas and Sora having a slightly similar appearance, i don't think they've affected each other in any way, shape or form. yes, they do have that connection Ven in common, Vanitas being born of the darkness in Ven's heart, and what's left of Ven's heart going into Sora, but i can't see anything else other than that. feel free to correct me/add to me if i have anything wrong, but that's all i can think of.

I think he would be a good candidate because of all the statements about how he walks the road between the light and darkness. And could that be why Namine was so intent on having Riku face his darkness rather than seal it away? basically, Riku could probably survive it better than Ven because he has control over his darkness and light.

I went back to look up an interview, but I could not find it. I did find this though:

 

"Sora and Ventus's heart are linked... And so Roxas, who is a part of Sora, was affected by that and looks just like Ventus."

 

"It is thought that it could be Ventus's heart... he has taken a lot of himself from Ventus. But perhaps when Sora and Roxas were separated, Ventus's heart stayed in Roxas?"

Both ideas are possible. But we should also take into account Roxas' ability to feel emotion. This hints more to him having Ven's heart than to him having no heart at all.

take a look at this cutscene from 358/2 Days where Xion fades away after the final battles with her:

Also, you have to remember that we really have no idea what happened to Vanitas. A lot of people theorize what was left of his heart went back to Sora, too. If that's true, then couldn't it be possible the X-Blade was forged in Sora? Or moreover, it could be that Sora is the X-Blade. After all, I always thought the reason the X-Blade was incomplete when Ven and Vanitas joined was because they only had half a heart, so to speak. Now if they joined with Sora's heart (someone that has Light and Darkness like everyone else), they might just meet the requirements to create the X-Blade.

 

And Sora, Ven, and Vanitas have affected each other. Sora's Nobody looks like Ven, and Ven's Darkness looks like (an older) Sora. Once again, I believe that Ven could have affected Sora's own personality and look, but I feel Vanitas is responsible for some of Sora's Darkness. Many people think Sora will go Dark because of Vanitas in 3D. And sudden lines like, "You know... maybe the darkness has gotten to me, too," makes you raise an eyebrow.

 

Is this theory perfect? Absolutely not. But with Nomura, I think it's something to consider. After all, if someone else had come up with the idea of Xion before Days came out, no one would have believed that or thought it made sense. My point is, anything's possible with Nomura. That's the draw of the KH series. Since Sora and Ven's connection will probably become very important, and since BbS seems like a prelude to KH3, something like this could be revealed.

And Roxas looks like Ven because it's been practically confirmed that Ven's piece of heart was released into him. I highly doubt that Sora is literally the X-blade, it honestly seems ridiculous, but you're right that you never know wiht Nomura.

Honestly, I always knew that Vanitas looked like Sora. But then you've got people questioning why Sora and Ven seem to resemble each other somewhat, so...

 

Well, chances are Vanitas was destroyed. But his Spirit (Sentiment, Remnant, whatever) is still around. That's supposedly canon so we'll probably see Vanitas (in some way) in the future.

 

The theory is a bit ridiculous, but that's why I like it. LOL Nomura strives for weirdness, and I think I take after that. LOL I've also heard theories that Sora is Kingdom Hearts, and that Sora is/will become the Light. So it seems everyone has their own zany KH idea. LOL
