Sora 'saves' worlds that have about 100 metres of space by talking to the 5 people that live on that planet to solve their personal problems and lock a door. Sonic has saved many worlds, entire dimensions, entire species, and seven planets at once (In Sonic Colours) he also constantly blows up giant space stations and fleets of ships.

Mario is strong enough to spin said giant (Fire breathing) turtle by its tail. He can fly. Gain powers by touching everyday items. He can defeat almost anything by landing on its head. He defeated a turtle by sending meteors at him, using only the force of his butt. He can breath coins. He's overweight yet excels in every sport imaginable. He has a mustache.

Except Sonic and Shadow can stop and slow time, turn invincible, use a homing attack, and survive any attack as long as they have one ring. They can create tornadoes by spinning fast, and they can curl into a ball and damage anything in their path. Sonic has been shown to be quite a martial artist in Smash Bros and Sonic Battle, and again, he routinely destroys space stations and fleets of ships.
