I actually think it is because it actually takes place after kingdom hearts 2 and there are some new worlds but that's just my opinion, feel free to cast yours.

It's not KH3. The 3 is 3D, for it's real name Dream. Drop. Distance. It leads up to KH3, which will be in development after FF Versus 13 is finished, as the team that will make KH3 is currently working on that game. The first half of the game will be Sora and Riku's Mark of Mastery exam, though the second half is unknown.

I really don't understand why people get 3D confused with 3.

If it were KH3, it'd be that, KH3. Nothing else added on to it.

Besides, all of the numbered titles (with nothing added on) have been on consoles and not handhelds.

I've considered it, but I know it isn't. It's official name has nothing to do with the number three. 3D is just an abbreviation for Dream Drop Distance.

No, For one kh3 will be on a main console not a handheld, and it's been said it's a side kh game to lead up to khIII

No Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance and Kingdom Hearts III are two completely different games. I don't know who would ever even consider this idea.

Actually, Nomura said that 3D was an experimental game that had lots of bold new moves, but KH3 would be more traditional, like KH1 and 2.

as for everything nomura and others said,kh 3ds ending is connected to kh3.

kh3 focuses saving everyone and 3d focuses to mark of mastery exam of riku and sora.

after 3d is coming one more game before kh3,bbsv2.

No, because 3D is the prequel to the inevitable KH3. It takes place after the events of coded.

This is like all the people who thought Birth By Sleep was KH3 -__- KH3D is not KH3 this is however the game that will link into KH3 (though i'm pretty sure most people who keep up with KH already knew that) ^^;
