How long to you want the Kingdom Hearts series to go on for?

Posted

I've always figured that Kingdom Hearts 3 would be the end of the series but I've seen people say that Kingdom Hearts 3 will be the end of the Xehanort saga. To me that means that they want more/believe there is more to come after KH3. Now As much as I love this series I think Kingdom Hearts 3 should be the grand finale of this series. But that's just my opinion what about you?

There's a lot of untapped potential in KH. Imagine if hey broke the 'worlds remain separate' rule, and actually started mixing characters from other Disney franchises? Even adding a different Disney villain to a past Disney world opens tonnes of new possibilities.

Never mind that Square usually tells a fairly different story in each world than in their source material. Heck, the Lilo and Stitch level in BBS barely had any plot at all.

KH3 will probably have a secret scene where it shows Sora passing on the keyblade like Terra

I doubt it.

Well we will not know till KH3

tutti frutti.

So long as the series remains strong I would love for the series to continue for quite a while.

I guess it depends on various subjects, and depending on how everyone views the series from their own perspective. Me it more so depends on Disney, mostly since they seem to be more unpredictable with the rights of stories and movies and all that along with what they will allow, content-wise, that would represent them. Square on the other hand, besides the way gameplay changes drastically from each numerical game, I find that they are limited in what they will be allowed to put into a Kingdom Hearts. For example, I don't think that Disney would want a character like Ashe and Fran from FFXII, since I'm sure that Disney would find their attire revealing. Or even limiting the story may even be turned down by either side.

For my opinion, KH re:Coded, story wise, wasn't as good as the rest, but the gameplay was solid. Overall, it depends on how long the series will stay strong.

The problem with that reason is Ariel (The Little Mermaid), who wears two sea shells.

Old Disney stuff gets a free ride for some reason. New Disney is 'child friendly' to a fault.

I doubt it.

Why? I could definatley see it happening.

I COULD see it happening, if Nomura hadn't said that Sora will be the hero 'till the end, and no new heroes will take his place.

Well if he said that, I guess it won't happen.

I want it to exist as long as possible. It just gives me something to look forward to everyday.

tutti frutti. This is Disney. To me, they seem to like to bend the rules for who knows why. With Ariel in the Little Mermaid, they are making profit, mostly since it's directy at families and younger kids, while Final Fantasy is more so directed at some of the more die harder gamers in the world. Assuming that Square want to put Ashe or Fran, or some other charcter that would be considered revealing, I wouldn't doubt Disney saying something, but that's just me. But nonetheless, the KH series would based on a series on the creaters, the companies, and those of us willing to stick with the series to the bitter end.

I want it to keep going until the games start to suck.

But as long as Kingdom Hearts games are making money, then they will keep making them.

Square Enix is a company. The goal of a company is to make money. If producing KH games makes them money then they will make KH games.

for eterinaty!!! long live Kingdom Hearts!!!!!

It better end before i die

FOREVER. KH is too good of a series to just STOP supposedly

Well, I wouldn't mind seeing the Kingdom Hearts saga contintueing after the Xehanort saga, and contintueing as far as the Final Fantasy games. But there are problems with it continueing father though. There are alot of Disney movies out there, but only a few them can actually be made part of the videogame. Of course, they could make more original towns/worlds, like Twilight Town, Radiant Garden (or Hollow Bastion), and the World That Never Was. They can also make more original characters. But with Final Fantasy continueing as long as it has, is because in every game, its a new story with different characters. (Excluding FFX-2 and FFXIII-2 and the movies/other prequel games to FFVII).

And, if you watch the secret ending to KHBBS, Master Xehanort states that Terra was only one of many roads he might choose to take and that he made certain of that. There are other people who side with darkness, the game might not show them at the moment, but they could be there.

Also, the saga after Xehanort might revolve around Sora connecting the worlds back together again. I kind of doubt that though considering their seperated for the reason of there being selfish people will take the light.

And, just because the Organization(excluding Roxas who isn't even part of the Org. anymore) is destroyed doesn't mean there are no more Nobodies. And I'm not talking about Dusks, or Dancers, or Assassins.

i want it to go as long as the final fantasy saga.

Me too!

probably its going to end on kh3 but we dont know that only nomura knows plus i want to play in the era when there were a lot of keyblade wielders like the keyblade war that should come after kh3

Until Haley Joel Osment, Hayden Panettiere and David Gallagher all die.

like so many have said, after this saga there should be one more with a different protaganist, maybe let sora and riku have a cameo. the next saga should be just as long or possibly longer than this one. that would give us at least another maybe 10 years of KH amazingness.

Nomura has already confirmed that Sora will remain as the protagonist. Just the way I want it to be. New protagonists??? NEVER!! I want to see Sora become as badass as Master Xeganort! I want to see Sora using darkness!!

To be honest, I'm not sure. I think it can only go on for a little bit longer, it all depends on Disney. How much the Disney Worlds can keep going and how long Disney will continue to work with Square. After the Xehanort saga, I would prefer a different protaganist, rather than Sora though.

Yeah Mabey A new keyblade wilder .
