As for my unpopular opinion:

 

I believe that women should be allowed to wear whatever they want, hell the should be able to shirtless if guys can too, and not be called sluts. They should be able to sleep with who they want, WHEN they want. They aren't hurting you or anyone else so why make them feel bad and call them sluts.

It's not your life and it isn't your business. No need to make someone feel horrid.

Yeah. I like the show because it's cute, but saying a guy can't like it is a little unfair to me. Sure it's weird, but I still watch Dora the Explorer. And I'm preeeeetty sure that wasn't targeted towards 17 year old girls

Maybe they like it because they don't think about those "natural laws" of how only girls should like [x] and only boys should like [y] and only [age group] should like [z].  God forbid they find enjoyment in something.  Personally, I can't understand why you would hate it.  By that logic, everyone should hate us for liking KH.  And technically, a lot of people do.

I'm not silencing them I'm just saying don't argue. It's as simple as that. Don't like somebody's opinion, then move on and get over it. There's no need to start a disagreement that can easily be avoided. If you know that the other person has a different opinion than you, why would you try to convince them to change that? It's pointless fighting over opinions, unless of course the opinion is of significant value (eg. Pro-life vs. pro-choice). But I haven't seen any of those opinions recently here.

True is a forum where people can share unpopular opinions, it's sort of a safe haven for that. But since this IS the "unpopular opinions thread", I feel like you should expect to see opinions you don't like...so that's why I don't bother arguing with people here because if you click on this thread you're probably expecting to see things you don't like I don't agree with everyone's opinion and I know for SURE they don't agree with mine, but I plan on standing up for everyone to post their own opinion without feeling attacked. The whole function of this is to state opinions, preferably those considered unpopular. I think the only discussion going on should consist mostly of people who share the same opinion, not of people fighting over them.

Just bc the OP is breaking their own rules doesn't make it right. But on the other hand, it's not against the rules either to post your disagreeing opinion and there's nothing wrong with that as long as people don't try to force their opinions through arguments.

That's true for most threads, but this one is specifically to just vent out your unpopular opinion and move on. Other threads, yes, they are fueled by discussion and debate. That's what makes it interesting! But this thread is just a safe little place. And it doesn't matter what OP's been in, a lot of people (like me) would rather just state the opinion whenever I think of one, then go off and play Tekken or something. XDThe rules are still there, yes it's an old thread but the original post hasn't been edited so I'm still playing by them :,D I guess if someone wanted debate, or wanted discussion they would make a thread based on the unpopular opinion themselves. For example I hate RWBY, if I WANTED people to yell at me and argue with me over it, I'd make a thread. But since I post that opinion here, I can feel safe knowing that even though people are gonna see my opinion, it's no surprise to see something you don't like here so people are most likely not going to argue with me anyways. That's just how I see it though X3

Anyways back on topic, I hate when people call others "fake" just for applying extra stuff. For example, I hate when people call me fake for wearing wigs and fake eyelashes. Well, should I call YOU fake for wearing faux nails? How does it feel Besides it's not like my personality is fake or anything, I'm being myself. So why should you care? Wigs and makeup - that's just the image I chose for myself. I do it because it makes me happy. It's not how I express myself, it's just what I happen to like.

I'm actually pointing out that both sides have points. This thread isn't about forcing your opinion bc it is made to vent your unpopular opinions.However it is ok to post an opinion disagreeing as long as you don't try to force your opinion on others with needless fighting.

I fully agree . What you do with your hair and makeup is up to you only and is totally fine.It's your body .

I don't see why debates have to be limited to the big stuff like politics or whatever.  If anything, debates of any sort, whether over the internet or real life, usually won't do anything to convince the other side.  When it comes to matters like that, it's unlikely that any debating in the world will convince you of much.  The best you can usually do is to just get the other guy to see where you're coming from and make his views more well-rounded instead of narrow, "I'm right and anyone who disagrees can in no way be rational because my argument is the only rational viewpoint" mentality.

 

Also keep in mind debates don't have to be about convincing the other guy you're right.  It could easily just be a matter of getting the other guy to see where you're coming from, especially when it comes to things that matter to you.  It doesn't have to be things like politics or religion that you can feel strongly about.  Sometimes it's the little, ultimately pointless things but that aren't pointless to you.  And in that case, I feel no reason for why they shouldn't make their feelings known when they see something that strongly resonates against them.  If you feel passionate enough about something, you try keeping your mouth shut when someone disses it.

Yeah! I don't like when people judge others by appearance. It all boils down to personality. I think girls with nasty personalities have given the other nice girls who wear a lot of makeup and other things a bad name. And that isn't fair that people like you are stereotyped as "fake"
