Have you ever studied a foreign language?

Personally, I have.

My first language is Portuguese, but I study English, and a bit of Spanish.

So...

"Yes, and I still study it nowadays!"

Latin.

Worst class out of my freshmen and sophomore years of high school.

I tried to learn Japanese along with kanji and kana text so that I could play Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Final Mix, but in the end I gave up and just ended up remembering each command and select option by memory after playing the english version of Birth By Sleep. LOL

I speak English and I of course studied Spanish and passed it. (I speak both ^-^)

i learned German and stopped after high school but i plan on taking it again hopefully next fall in college

Yep! I actually went to a private school till I was in fourth grade and I learned a little Spanish and Latin classes and I think some other but I'm not sure but I'm also trying to learn French and Japanese too. I have a full life ahead of me xD filled with so much language

I'm learning japanese.

Well I'm greek so yah I have studied English but not anymore since I got all my certificates. Also studied German but forced it out of my brain and then some here and some there from a couple other languages.

Ahem. French is my maternal language. English is my second language. I am learning German at the moment. I know a smattering of Japanese and I aspire to learn Greek and Latin one day.

I know a few thing in Japanese but I haven't really studied it... But I really want to learn Japanese, Italian, and Latin for no real reason at all

I'm studying Japanese, but I'm also studying English even if it's my first language. There's always more to learn. I know sign language too, but I haven't used it for several years.

I guess I study foreign languages since I've been watching anime subbed for years and actually learn the words, and I learned French.

I learned Japanese a long time ago. It's been strangely helpful in little ways... Like no subtitles in anime, can play Japanese games, translate doujinshis, that kind of stuff.

My entire family is German, so German was my first language. Even though I was born in America. But my main language is English. Hell, I use English so much that I've forgotten some of my German.

Im learing freanch.

Russian is my first language (yet ive only ever lived in america) and primarily speak english. Im taking french in school, really want to learn japanese though sometime.

im taking madarin chinese in school. i am currently self teaching latin and japanese. i plan to learn greek, spanish, german, french, italian, portugese and russian.

I'm learning english since I was four, about a year ago I started learning german and I also know some greek and latin.

Yes I'm learning Japanese and is so awesome but i sometimes need a little practice ^w^

I'm studying Japanese, myself. Been learning for almost a year now and I've gotten a little better at the language. I've also been thinking about learn Spanish too after I master the Japanese language. But don't know if I should or not

Si, hablo español.

English is my main/first language. I am learning Spanish as a secondary language for two reasons. 1) My school doesn't offer any other languages. 2) It is the language you are most likely to need in America next to English.

We just finished school subjects and telling time.

i use to study chinese but my mom stoped teaching me when we moved to sc.i know how to count to 7 in chinese

I've been learning more Vietnamese . . . since my parents are Vietnamese . . . and of course, I'm learning English . . .

A guy: Hi . . . uhh (trying to guess what language I speak other than English) . . . what language do you speak?

Me: T_T Vietnamese (got it memorized?)

I know how to count to 7 in chinese

I know how to count to 8 in Vietnamese http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/happy.png .

But I forgot how to count in Vietnamese http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png .

I've been teaching myself Japanese. It is quite a nice language, and it's used heaps in anime and manga, so why not!

I've been studying Japanese since last year, and I intend to keep going for a while, and maybe even get a degree in it. http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/happy.png I've also studied Latin a couple times in my life, but sadly, I've forgotten most of what I learned from those classes. I would love to tackle it again someday, though.

I'd also like to try Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, Hebrew, and Gaelic. Haha we'll see if that ever happens...

Did 2 yrs of Spanish and 3 yrs of French in high school. Also took a yr of Japanese in high school. Currently a college sophomore and still learning Japanese = )

I do. I just graduated from my English course, but I'm still unhappy with my english :/ It just sucks.

But at the moment, I'm slowly learning japanese on my own >3 Is it necessary to say that it's pretty hard to do this? T^T

After I learn japanese, I plan on learning german, so I'll be able to fully speak five languages (Portuguese-Brazil (it's my native language), English, Spanish, Japanese and German) :3
