Does anyone remember any elaborations or did they not reveal it yet.

That's the amount of Nobodies he's found to bring into the Organization I believe. If I'm right, after there were XIII members of the organization they were still looking out for any new Nobodies that were born.

No remember hearing that they already named it organization 13 at it's inception but i can't remember why.

Xemnas is a confusing person. It is strange that he knew how many members there were going to be before he even recruited them all, that would be impossible unless he somehow were to travel through time....(I know where this is pointing at lol)

The only reference I can find during recruitment is in Truth About The Room Of Sleep, and even then Xigbar simply refers to it as "The Organization".

tutti frutti I always believed that Org. XIII was still looking for members, with the exclusion of Xion. Overall, I always thought that the name was adjusted based on the number of members of the Org. Though I can't really say for sure.

Yeah I just thought that was the number they ended up with before Roxas left & Sora started to knock them out one by one!

Before Roxas came they just called it 'The Organization' as they also do in Chain of Memories. Xemnas didn't only want 13 members, if he could get more he would.

I am sure that Xemnas was looking for more members to join the organization but he didn't find any so he named it 13 as the numbers of the organization

Cause it's unlucky number. Easy for destroying the world;).

First game I played was kh2 and I just assumed it was Org. XII because it's an considered an unlucky number
