...watching some animes online. I really don't watch many, and my friend has finally convinced me. Any recommendations for shows? And nothing violent like Naruto.

Pokemon, Digimon, or Yu-Gi-Oh!

Grew out of Pokemon & Digimon a while ago. And I've seen a few Yu-Gi-Oh! episodes, mostly the GX ones with my brothers.

Naruto or Rosario+Vampire recommending them cause there the only animes i really know

Depends, what genre are you after right now? Mecha, Slice-of-Life, etc?

Probably any adventure, romance, or comedy type animes. I don't know much about anime so I hope there's stuff like that.

I thought it was alright. Some of the earlier ones bored me.

Uh, all the good, good animes are violent. So you'll have to rethink it.

I recommend Hetalia,Trigun,Angel Beats,Soul Eater,& Rozen Maiden. Those were some of my favorite.

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya is very sci-fy and a high school comedy with slice of life-y aspects

Lucky Star is a high school slice of life anime, very cute and adorable

I like Hourou Musuko/Wandering Son a lot

Ouran High School Host Club seems like something you'd enjoy a lot.

Lovely Complex (Romance between high-school students.)

Hetalia (You've probably heard of it. Basically historic countries as people.)

Usagi Drop (SUPER CUTE. I recommend it with all my heart. About a father and daughter.)

School Rumble (High-school life with a lot of comedy.)

Lucky Star (High school girls living life as otakus.)

Clannad (School life and romance - has very touching aspects sometimes.)

 

Try those.

Ouran High School Host Club, Princess Princess, Shugo Chara, K-On, Gakuen Alice (kind of little kid-ish, but cute ), and, if you don't mind a bit of yuri/black comedy, Maria+Holic is adorable. c:

I don't care. Most of the anime I have watched is voilent anyway. I haven't seen an anime without any kind of violence in it.

Arakawa Under The Bridge is a funny anime. Lots of randomness though.

You want comedy? Watch Sket Dance.

Ouran High school host club is good

Vampire knight is awesome.(Don't fight with me!)

fruit basket is good to.

When it comes to Yu-Gi-Oh! it just keeps getting better with Dawn of the Duel being fantastic. I personally enjoyed GX, and I'm enjoying 5D's.

Clannad is really good. Also After Story.

Um... you may enjoy Gun X Sword. There's fighting, but it's not really violent. It's more of a fun anime.

 

Maybe Evangelion. The fights are cool, and it's more psychology than violence...
