Birth by Sleep was to mostly make references to other KH games that's been out. So i say that it was pretty great of Numera to think of an idea like that.

January 10, 201213 yr I believe there is some connection between the two, which would explain that reference along with when Vanitas said, "What's wrong? Giving up already?" and how both Void Gear and Soul Eater have at least one teal eye on them and how their fighting styles are similar and how in the opening both Sora's Keyblade and Soul Eater struck Ven's Station of Awakening.

Besides it being a reference to KH1 and KH:CoM, I had believed that Ansem SoD had given him the same suit with different color scheme possibly due to receiving some of his memories as Master Xehanort. That and the use of Darkness. But outside of those reasons, I can't really say why else.

August 30, 201312 yr I have a theory it may sound strange or you may talk shit about it but its just my opinion!! In bbs when aqua meets vanitas for the first time he tells her that she would be a good "backup"? For what exactly? Then the second time they meet he tells her that he has outgrown his need for her and tries to kill her, shortly after defeating Vanitas you end up in Destiny Island and Aqua discovers that Riku was given the ability to wield a keyblade by Terra who was being followed or observed by Xehanort. My theory Xehanort saw this and took it upon himself to have Vanitas do something or put a little of himself into Riku causing him to alter moods and start heading towards the darkness cause as a child Riku seemed kinda shy and quite but as you see in kingdom hearts he is cocky and arogant (like Vanitas) some dark traits which later overrun him. If Terra wouldve seen even the slightest of darkness in Riku he would have never gave him the ability to hold a keyblade. You guys can look it up i want feedback good or bad this has been bothering me ever since i noticed that Riku's dark mode looks like Vanitas's body I also kinda think that it could just be what Xehanort gives his apprentices but then why wasn't Ven wearing one??
