April 1, 201213 yr Popular Post I still don't understand why everyone's so angry about it. If anything, you're all hypocrites. A couple years ago, everyone was whining that she was underused and should be in the story as a more important character. Now that she is, everyone's complaining that she's a possible focus for future plotlines. This place is starting to sound like the KHInsider forums more and more...and that's one of the main reasons I came here, and became active on the forums. Don't make me regret my decision.

April 1, 201213 yr I agree with TheBucket2, I really don't understand this at all. First you all complain about Kairi character becoming a useless character and becoming just an invisible character in it. Nomura listens to the fans and decides to give Kairi a little more meaning and personlaity, and suddently, everyone hates it. Jeez, sometimes the KH fanbase can be much worse than the Sonic fanbase. You can't please people can you? Edited April 1, 201213 yr by Tails

April 1, 201213 yr I think it was a nice secret ending, and just like Bucket and Tails said, i don't understand you guys. Anyway, the only thing i think it's kind of stupid, but we need it, it's like... Kingdom Hearts 1: Oh yes, Sora's a keyblade wielder and no one else is! Hell no, Riku is too... Oh he isn't, thanks god! Now: Everyone has a firetrucking keyblade. It's awesome and kind of odd at the same time. Edited April 1, 201213 yr by Xirog

You can't please people can you? Thank you, and I agree as well. I can admit however that I think Nomura made a mistake in building the games endings THAT much. Some other endings were more "shocking" and he'd never say too much about it. But these endings (Lea getting a Keyblade, Kairi coming back into the main action, etc.) wasn't as huge, or rather didn't have as big of an impact, as I feel like he had intended them to. Honestly, the scenes in TWTNW were better than the "real" ending and secret ending. I think it was a nice secret ending, and just like Bucket and Tails said, i don't understand you guys. Before I say anything, know this sin't a direct attack at you, Xirog. I figured eventually there'd be more Keyblade wielders, and at that point, people would complain about it. Yet on the other hand, when BbS was the big thing, all we wanted was "show more Keyblade wielders! We want to SEE this army of them!" Now that Yen Sid is working to do just that by increasing the number of Keyblade users...we're all complaining about it. KH fanbase, I am disappoint. Edited April 1, 201213 yr by TheBucket2
April 1, 201213 yr I agree. I always wished Kairi would be a Keyblade master.I hated how useless she was

It just seems like complete fanservice to me. He is much better off using his Chackrams. I'm sorry, but Axel/Lea is too cool to have a keyblade. Edited April 1, 201213 yr by Tails

Yeah, I find the fact there are a lot of keyblade wielder awesome, however, kind of... wrong with the first title. When BBS was released, it was just like you said. I don't hate or don't like the fact there are a lot of K. wielders now, it's just odd for me. Anyways, I still finds the fact Kairi having a keyblade preety strange, when she appeared at KH2 with a keyblade, it seemed wrong, and it still does for me, even though a combination of combos with her and Sora or Riku would be epic. Lea with his cloak and using a keyblade looks odd too, i want to see him with new clothes, then i say what i really think about him with a keyblade.

I feel like the reason why everyone has generally negative feelings towards Kairi wielding a Keyblade is because there was no sort of build-up or the lsightest bit of explanation for it in KH2. It was just a flung-together plot device out of the blue. When we demanded an explanation, Nomura was just like, "lol bbs, she touched it, see?" And while obviously in-universe that works...it's still a bit off. There should have been more explanation and build-up to it. The whole of Riku's time in KH2 needs to be explained a bit more. How did he suddenly get Way to Dawn, and how can he dual wield and/or get the extra Keyblade for Kairi? Even though it'd be long, KH3 just needs to have a purely-discusive cutscene where literally everything is flat-out explained. No beating around the bush with left-off plotpoints or secrets like that.

People seem to forget that there used to be a HUGE amount of Keyblade wielders at some point in time. I'm sure being a wielder was pretty common. But people still seem to adhere to KH1's "Being a Keyblade Wielder is rare! Blah blah blah." As for the ending, I don't think it was KH-esque, but something Nomura threw together after hearing that his original ending couldn't be used. I'm happy that it's not so cryptic, however.
April 1, 201213 yr Just because she is a girl you dont understand this at all? sorry but this thread sucks... She is perfect to be a keyblade weilder like aqua, xion, mickey, riku... and maybe be a master.. you disappoint me :I
April 1, 201213 yr Didn't Chain of Memories explained how he got the Way to Dawn? Anyways, things that needs to be explained like these are what make me wish even more for a BBS v2. I'm positive it would explain so many things. Even though people say it's not real, i'm still waiting. Secret Ending showed it. Even if it is a book, not a game. Just because she is a girl you dont understand this at all? sorry but this thread sucks... She is perfect to be a keyblade weilder like aqua, xion, mickey, riku... and maybe be a master.. you disappoint me :I Not really, at least for me, it just feels odd when she gets her keyblade, it's not like Xion. Not sure if clothes, personality, or i'm just thinking too much. Edited April 1, 201213 yr by Xirog
April 1, 201213 yr I don't think appearance or gender matter in wielding a keyblade, but I think people just don't like Kairi having one because of her "damsel in distress" behavior in the past. It's hard to change people's perceptions of a character like that. It takes time. This is a start and people will start to warm up to it if she's given some proper, believable development (which people do not think is possible because of their perception).
April 1, 201213 yr kairis charecter should be used more but not like this aqua and xion looked like fighters kairi doesnt shes to school girl looking and i cant see her keyblade designs actually being cool. all others i can see but to send kairi in one of the seven that just says hey look here she is xehanort come get her.
April 1, 201213 yr it has nothing to do with gender really for me either its just plot. she is the seventh princess. theres no way someone that important should be out there. that and i feel like its thrown together quickly hey lets give all these people a keyblade for fillers instead of for a really good reason other than they needed more to fight the 13. see i think itd be more epic if you fought the 13 with just the 3 riku sora and mickey.
April 1, 201213 yr She'll be useful because she is a Pure Heart and also one of the Seven. She is the connection between the two and not to mention if she's like that wouldn't you as the enemy write her off? Meaning she'll be underestimated, which is good. kairis charecter should be used more but not like this aqua and xion looked like fighters kairi doesnt shes to school girl looking and i cant see her keyblade designs actually being cool. all others i can see but to send kairi in one of the seven that just says hey look here she is xehanort come get her.
April 1, 201213 yr I see Kairi flying with or without big wings made from light and finishing Xehanorts off.
April 1, 201213 yr I find it funny that axel could wield a keyblade and someone made a topic about it a while back and got commets like no way never i laugh at those people hahaha jp
April 1, 201213 yr I personally think that showing Kairi in the end was a good thing, she's one of my favorite characters yet she plays such a small role, barely appearing in the game (I think only Namine appeared less than her). She should be able to fight off enemies now with some training, maybe they will even explain how Riku got her Keyblade in the first place (Nomura said something about it having a special meaning...Rku x Kairi much here?). I can actually see her getting rid of Xehanort, repealing his darkness for good (maybe like the Sages did with Ganon in Zelda: Ocarina of Time)
April 1, 201213 yr Just because Kairi has a keyblade doesn't mean she's going to be whipping out sweet ass attacks or anything. Remember Sora's basic 1-2-3 combo at the beginning of number one? She could easily be doing that. It wouldn't be as climatic as the rest of the fighters in the game, but it's more likely than her just gaining these abilities out of nowhere

Axel's going to be learning too, but no one expects him to suck lol. Though Axel does have battle experience. Edited April 1, 201213 yr by cityincolour
April 1, 201213 yr Well Kairi is more then likely getting trained by not one but two Keyblade Masters, granted one of them is retired. Personally, I love the fact that Kairi wields a keyblade now. Towards the end instead of the standard Donald and Goofy, it'll open up for Sora with Kairi/Riku as the back up. As a Princess of Heart, she'll be immune to any temptations Xehanort throws her way I think?
