I've been thinking recently that SE intentionally put some connections between Xaldin and Gilgamesh, from Final Fantasy V. I've noticed both of them carry multiple weapons at the same time, and you fight him in an area of Beast's Castle that resembles a bridge, in a way, similar to Gilgamesh's battle track being "Clash on the Big Bridge".

Any thoughts?
