I know lots of people have asked this but now I wanna do it. I also nobody knows for sure, but I just wanna know your guys opinions. Nomura said the next game reveal for Square will "surprise" you. Nomura also said that he's not working on KH3 yet, so maybe the big "surprise" is KH3 and he's been trolling us and doing it in secret! That certainly would surprise me. Microsoft did that with Halo 4, so maybe Squares doing it with KH3

Isn't that what I and this video where implying? Anyway now that we know that there isn't going to be a BBS Vol 2, KH3DFM or HD remakes in the works then what could the Kingdom Hearts title that Nomura said was in production and would be announced soon be?

I suppose you did say it was speculation But some of what you said was simply false. The part about Nomura saying they're working on the next title and they're ready to release information was true.... but the 2010 thing was false and Nomura has stated that he did not mean 3 is in production. It could be, as Nomura wouldn't want to repeat his mistake of announcing Versus too early but the evidence of 3 being next is still sketchy at best.

 

the fact that KH3D is a bridge game into 3 to me is a good sign that 3 is next. Why make a bridge game and then make us wait for 3 with another game? Its like if they had made a game between COM and KH2. My point is COM was a bridge game between KH 1 and 2 and we got 2 right after COM, so if they follow their trend of bridge games and numbered titles it should be KH 2, DDD and then 3, releaseing another game that isn't 3 wouldn't make any sense to me since DDD is supposed to lead right into 3.

 

There is a difference in ignoring speculations and wanting facts and ignoring hints and wanting facts

Also guys remember Nomura's words in Game Informer he said players who play to the very end of DDD would get a hint about the next game in the series.

You get the secret message which says This Leads to Kingdom Hearts and then you see riku and sora walking into a light that forms a roman numerial 3 and then you see this

 

(this is only my theoy on what this means)

 

The past will be reawakened as a new number (sora saves terra, ven and aqua and the keyblade war starts) in never before seen detail (its in HD) prepare yourself for the awakening of the next number (prepare for the announcment of Kingdom Hearts 3)

with versus still in development i would say no. BUT i do think noruma is probobly playing around ideas with ideas for the story.

Yes, Nomura has a plan for the story and he probably knows just how it's all gonna end. However, I don't think the game itself is being developed yet. Knowing square right, they always give us small portions of info at early stages, torturing us with long periods of waiting until we can finally get our hands on the final product.

 

A surprise would be nice of course, but I doubt it.

if KH3 was announced this year, i can only imagine how fast this forum is going to flare.

tutti frutti. I hope that KH3 is the next new KH game in the series, I don't want another handheld, or any other game outside of a KH Collection, that would otherwise postpone KH3. At this point, I just want to see how it all ends. Part of me feels that there should be a point where we would want more out of the Xehanort saga, but I guess I'm kind of past that point. KH3D pretty much feels that KH3 is the next game in the series to be put on shelves, so that's what I'm looking forward to. Hopefully we will get something within the next year about the next KH game to be released.
