SO........(Spoilers)

So at the end of KH3D, does Riku and Sora both pass their exams, or does Riku only, or does Sora only. What is the deal here?

Only Riku passes.

Only Riku passes, because he did more stuff than Sora and Sora was an idiot who kept being stubborn :D

Sora fails and Riku passes. But, Sora handles it with honor and funny accessories.

Riku's uncertainty of whether he should be/ deserved to be a keyblade master helped him stay on path and pass while Soras overconfidence led him astray and not listen to warnings that led him to fall into darkness( and needing rescued ) and therefore ended up not passing in the end .

Only Riku passes. Sora fails because of MX's/YX's interference and his reaction to it.

Riku passes but Sora gets to eat cake, so its a win-win scenario.

but Sora gets to eat cake,

Damn it I keep looking for the meme but they deleted the page.

Okay so Sora is lost into darkness because of Xehanort? What does this mean for Sora? And why did we spend ten years over a character that ended up failing us in the end?

How many more times did we spend it with Sora as the most playable character? Okay then.

well we still had riku there as a character with a story, i wasnt counting how many times we played as him no reason to be like that

I am just stating how I meant it in the first place. We spent endless hours playing over and over again as Sora for him not to become a master? That seems weither harsh since this is KH 10th year, but surely enough they will make Sora a master in KH3 right? Man this whole thing is getting harder and harder to remember.

Just because he failed a test doesn't mean he's failed us in the end. It's not like he's given up. If a main character was perfect then there would be no reason to like him. Main characters are meant to be liked for how they handle their faults and failures.

Sora was mindfiretrucked the very reason why he failed the test. But I am sure there is more coming for him :)

I assume finding out you have 3 other separate being living within you would make anyone doubt there own right to being and drive anyone to a mental breakdown.

"Now Riku will be the one in focus. Wait, I have to "rescue" him from the Realm of Sleep for KH 3 to go anywhere. NNNOOO!!!!!!! THIS GAME SHOULD FOCUSED ON ME!!!!!!!!" - (all stated by Riku in a Dr. Zoidberg voice)

No, RIku would never react like that, but I think that rescuing Sora form the Realm of Sleep using Riku and Kairi would be a great 1st mission for KH 3.

Don't worry. This Mark of Mastery was meant to be more like a training for Sora and Riku. So both of them are probabvly stronger now xD Of course Riku will be trained by Yen Sid himself but... Sora kinda goes off to a lone training... Also... What happened to Sora was good for his development. Sora was the kind of "perfect boy that anything bad never happens". This made Sora become more mature and stop being childish, so I think this will be important for his development in the future too =D

This is the reason I acted the way I did to get the perfect answer like this.

I dont now the main purpose of the MoM exam.. I am a master, now what?

dude you are a major fail, your lucky i was calm when i saw your post on the other one.

I don't think being a "Master" is something necessarily amazing. I think it's just a title, ya know? Kinda like with Terra, technically he never became a Master (unless you count the scene with him and Xehanort in Radiant Garden). But he sure has the power of one.

Overall, I guess the powers, abilities, limitations, etc. of a Master aren't really known, so that's kind of a confusing topic.

However...

Don't take my word for it, but I don't think Sora has to be officially named a Master to defeat Xehanort. From what I remember, all Yen Sid said was that he needed either Sora or Riku to become a Master in order to rescue Terra, Aqua, and Ventus. So, I'm assuming that's what Riku will be doing, at least at first.

Although, that does raise the question as to why Kairi is being trained to be a Master. (I'm still guessing she is).

So who knows, maybe being a Master is necessary, or maybe it isn't, I guess we'll find out eventually.

In my opinion, Sora should have said the same reaction Anakin gave in Star Wars Episode III when he didn't become Master; "What? How can you do this? This is outrageous, it's unfair." For KH3, I would love to see Sora turn to the dark side and become Vanitas because of his failure; his happy-go-lucky personality is getting on my nerves. Like going on a rampage, or maybe insulting Goofy for his clumsiness, even calling him a "retard".

Whoa whoa man, The series is owned by disney, so there's no way the attitude part is gonna happen.

now on the other hand, he fell to darkness and sleep, so now he may be tempted even more from here on out.

But for now, at least Sora was showing good sportsmanship.

But I have a feeling that he knows what he did wrong, The game displayed how arrogant and prideful Sora was while he was in the RoS.

He was thinking that he can take on MX and any X form himself, but NOOOOO, he cant lay a scratch on them now.

That is why he left to train by himself, so he can redeem himself and get better to be ready for MX.
