For the love Of God what is this world coming to... police: 1 pistol, gunman:whole lot of shit who u think is going to win in a gun fight?
Mason_Ireton 5 Posted July 20, 2012 This was almost a personal blow for me since my cousin lives near Aurora, thank goodness she's visiting our grandfolks in Cali, the min I saw the news I immediately called her to see that she was safe. Here's a quote from Mr Nolan bout the dark knight massacre (news title) The Dark Knight Rises director and co-writer Christopher Nolan released the following statement about the Colorado theater shooting that left 12 dead and 59 injured: Speaking on behalf of the cast and crew of The Dark Knight Rises, I would like to express our profound sorrow at the senseless tragedy that has befallen the entire Aurora community. I would not presume to know anything about the victims of the shooting but that they were there last night to watch a movie. I believe movies are one of the great American art forms and the shared experience of watching a story unfold on screen is an important and joyful pastime. The movie theatre is my home, and the idea that someone would violate that innocent and hopeful place in such an unbearably savage way is devastating to me. Nothing any of us can say could ever adequately express our feelings for the innocent victims of this appalling crime, but our thoughts are with them and their families -Chris Nolan

Zenithia 305 Posted July 21, 2012 tutti frutti. You would think that with some of the more crazy stuff that has happened lately that things, such as guns, bulletproof vest, etc. would be more closely monitored and who purchases stuff like that. I mean there was the full body scanning ordeal with the airports that took place because of terrorism, and the VA Tech Shooting, and other stutt similar to these that have taken place. I know that airports need to have security measures to better protect people from harm, but for a guy to be able to purchase so many fire arms, and equipment, while no one notices like this is ludacris. Dude should get a harsh sentence for pulling such a crazy stunt like this. My heart goes out to those that have lost friends and families that have lost loved ones. And pray for those injured to make a full and successful recovery. 2 Robbie the Wise and esumsoraroxas reacted to this
esumsoraroxas 48 Posted July 21, 2012 Why and how would/could someone be so inhumane? The guy should get life imprisonment for doing such a horrible action. My heart goes out to those affected by this shooting, and may the survivors make a full and speedy recovery. The physical wounds won't stay, but the psychological wounds will take time to heal... Think Pink 1,967 Posted July 21, 2012 I still don't get how the NRA can defend allowing people in the public to have automated weapons. They're really, really freaking dangerous Here's a thought- He's crazy. Because guns don't kill people. And guess what else is dangerous? That fork and knife in your kitchen. Sharp corners on tables and blunt objects. Should we ban those too? There's nothing wrong with automated weapons. I use guns daily and you don't see me on the news, nor do you see 99.999% of gun users. This guy was crazy. He didn't need a gun. He would've taken a knife or something and done the same thing. There is nothing wrong with guns, because they are simply tools, as much as a pencil is. It takes a person to shoot a gun at someone, just like it takes a person to stab someone with a pencil. Shooting, believe it or not, is one of the safest sports on the planet, because people know it can be dangerous, so they're extra careful. Plus, have you ever fired a gun? It is SO much FUN. It's a great sport, whether you do IDPA, USPSA, skeet shooting, or something else. And if someone in the audience had a gun with them (legally with a concealed carry permit, of course) they could have shot the gunman before he killed anyone. /defendingmypinkgunsthatilovedearly I think it's going to be hard for alot of people(me included) to go the movies at midnight now i didn't think that someone could be this cruel and evil. Me too. I'll never go to a midnight premiere after this. The thing we should be most worried about right now is a copycat criminal. That guy was a mentally screwed up maggot, and there are others like him who haven't struck yet. I'll be praying for the victims and their families. It's sad that there are innocent people that must suffer for others horrible mistakes. 2 Wuver and Shana09 reacted to this

And how do you know if they would have killed him? Not everyones gun crazy like him- some people can't and won't shoot a gun, even if it is to save their lives. Besides, automatic rifles? No one in the public needs that, and if you think so, then I'm sorry, but you are crazy. You don't use them to go hunt, you don't use them at a firing range, you use them to kill people. You didn't like it? Maybe it had too much recoil for a beginner. If a gun has too much recoil, a beginner will be put off. Do you know what you shot exactly? In reply to your next statement, because to get a concealed carry permit you have to take a training class with an NRA certified instructor, and they shouldn't have missed?? I really don't know what kind of answer you want. And I don't know about you, but if someone was trying to murder me, people I loved, and innocent bystanders, wouldn't you shoot them? There may be something noble in letting them kill you, but why would you let them murder those you loved if you had a chance to stop them? Would you like to watch your family die? I wouldn't. I would stop anyone who tried to hurt my family. Wouldn't you at least try to protect your family? If not, you're a pretty sick person. And he wasn't gun crazy. He was mentally crazy. There's nothing wrong with being gun crazy, because the term refers to people who love guns and love to shoot. Do you know how many shooters there are in the world? Did you know it's an Olympic sport, and a damn fun sport at that? And I never said automatic rifles should just be carried around in public. Concealed carry permits generally refer to concealed handguns, which is what I was saying. And, yes, you DO use them to hunt and go to shooting ranges. I've been shooting since I was five and I've never hurt anyone. Like I said, this guy didn't NEED a gun. Would you have preferred he stabbed people in the theater and they died slowly and painfully? Because this is one of those times when, as horrible as it is, this guy would have used anything he could get his hands on. This has nothing to do with guns. But we're kind of going off-topic here, so just PM or IM any replies to me so we don't ruin the thread. xDD 1 Shana09 reacted to this

Mason_Ireton 5 Posted July 22, 2012 I'm still hurt that one of my safe havens (theater) was smeared with blood shed. Made me sick when the gunman told police he was The Joker, FBI/Police admitted that the shooting disturbingly well planned. King_Dragon2 11 Posted July 22, 2012 When i heard about what the guy did and about him wearing all black and a gas mask, the only reason i could think of to why he would do a thing like that is, "He must of been trying to make a tribute to Bane." The Transcendent Key 12,109 Posted July 23, 2012 I saw this on the news a few days ago. This truly saddened me, to think of all the people that were wounded, and the people that were killed. But the thing that makes me sad the most is how traumatized the children must have been. A theater is supposed to be a place where family's can enjoy watching a movie. Now because of this stupid bastard, now people will be scared to step foot anywhere. The man that did this crime is a psycho, and I don't know how no one noticed the weapons he had. Dark days are close approaching, and every day the world faces moments like these or even worse. God bless the few people on this Earth who are still humble and kind. I sincerely give my laments to all the people affected by this crisis. 1 doom reacted to this
