Someone just said this to me: "why do marine corpse say semper fudge?"

Honestly, my shock that one could be this stupid made me unable to speak for a few moments. Finally I was able to correct them.

Also, I'm not sure that's only what it means, but I know it at least means that.

i don't see how that's much of a reason to not wanna live on this planet anymore. Trust me, people have done and said things a helluva lot more stupid than this guy to the point where "Mr.Semper fudge" would look like PhD in..well everything!

I just...I see things like this so much and a lot of it is just flat out disrespect. I know this guy wasn't like that, he honestly didn't know, but he also forgot how to spell something as simple as 'water' at one point. That's what bugged me, the way people talk, write, are taught, etc,...

I really don't see how this makes you not want to live on the planet anymore. I mean the 'corpse' bit maybe. But not everyone's interested in marines. I'm not and I didn't know the answer to this question. That doesn't make me an idiot, I just have no love for the marines and I'm just not interested in learning about them. This seemed like a perfectly fine question to ask, to me at the very least. It's not really disrespect either. You can have respect for the marines for the work they do, but that doesn't mean you actually look up anything about them or know their mottos and such.

Other than people being dumb, I'm having new problems with people being rude too. Which is why I'm waiting for 3Ds to take my mind off these things.

The person misspelled a word and had miss heard Semper Fi as Semper Fudge. The person was just asking a question. People getting this offended about something so small and overreacting about it comes of to me as being more of a problem rather than that one person who asked a simple question. Not saying you in particular are a problem, just calm down.

Why is everyone going crazy about the marine corpse thing?

1] People can make mistakes, not everyone's english is perfect.

2] Not everyone is from america! There are people who neither care nor know about the U.S marines. Get over it
