Have you noticed that in the first Kingdom Hearts game Sora didn't talk very much.

Really? It's been a while, but he said plenty from what I remember. o_O

That annoyed me when I first played. At least now, since BbS and 3D do this, we are getting fully animated and voiced cutscenes for everything.

I remember him saying a fair bit. He was probably silent from the emotional trauma of losing his friends and home, or being forced from it?

He never really spoke in the beginning, though.

I would imagine it might have been budget constraints. Text bubbles are far cheaper.

I remember Sora talking quite a bit in Kingdom Hearts. I wish Riku would have had more lines in the game. I felt like Riku had a much smaller role than Sora.

He spoke a lot in KH1. It just doesn't feel like he did that all that much due to it also being text bubble scenes. I miss those.

I Believe he talks a fair amount, honestly I never really questioned it...
