So, I was just thinking: in coded, the data Sora opens a keyhole into Riku's heart (dives), defeats all of the bugs (nightmares), and in the end has to battle a bugged version of Riku. This is almost the exact inverse of what Riku does for Sora in DDD...did they mean for this to happen? Do you think its bad they're just rehashing the same basic plotlines? Discuss my children.

Coded has meaning.

Every KH Game has a meaning :3 Re:coded showed us, that even Computer-beings can grow a heart and become keyblade-wielders (crazy, huh? xD)

I remember also that this "thank you Namine" from Data-Sora had effects on the Real Namine o: Also it showed us what's written in the Letter of the King ... So it had a meaning all the time o.o

Probably a coincidence

Hey,I guess it's there strong bond they share that they'll do anything for each other.

But there's this too.

And its not like it was the final battle or anything in Coded. Btw the 3D thing is a spoiler

Yeah, like the others said coincidence.

But the whole other reason to why Re: Coded was made is to learn about the data DiZ hid inside Sora while he was asleep and the secret ending that leads up to KH3D.

Yep... anything.

Just a coincidence I would say but we all know that nothing happens like that in the KH Saga

coincidence. I didnt acctually notice this similarity.

Coded has meaning, though it could have had better and bigger plot and new areas in worlds (systems doesnt count) and that. It would be more popular if it wouldnt be an copy of kh1 and Com with silly gameplay system

very interesting...

Similar, and probably intentionally so. The coded version makes sense, I mean Data-Sora goes and debugs a program from the inside, however with coded's message about growing hearts it could also be seen as a version of what Riku would do.

meh, it has meaning, but it was totally just filler :P I mean, it was sort of made as a go-between to "connect those memories with these," as Mickey put it. They just needed a reason to connect BBS and Days with current events, basically. I don't mind it too much though.

lolz i noticed this too, just didnt think anything of it at first, but that does make sense...

what if they made it a manga or online comic? i think it would have been more popular that way!

or maybe a mini-movie / series? i think that would be better, although what mickey said would HAVE to come into the picture somewhere.
