I've recently beaten Julius....he was pretty easy unlike what most of people say about him.....yeah he looks tough at the beginning.....but he is easy if you made sure you've done these things:

 

1 you must be lvl 40

 

2spam FiragaBlizzagaBalloonga through the entire fight...don't use melee attacks or melee commands....just dodge & spam until you beat him

 

3 be sure to have Second chance or once more

 

 

it was really one of the easiest Secret bosses I ever faced...in fact I wouldn't call him a secret boss since you'll be forced to fight him every time you go to the Fountain plaza...he isn't in a secret portal...in fact....the secret portal of Rinzler is way harder than Julius

 

in fact....I think the bastard troll Ansem(especially Second form) was waaaay harder that Julius

Why he is so hard for "us"? Because we play like we want to have fun. This whole "Spam with Magic and Heal" is imo totally nonsense and shows that you can't handle with REAL commands. I fought Julius only with 2 Heal Magics and 1 Dark Firaga, rest of my commands were all Melee-commands~

That's something I like to tell my english KH fellows too ... Learn to Play and your fun will be waaaay increased ~.~

 

It looks like with this nonsense spam-tactic it can be easy, but it's totally not something that someone should try if you want to have a real fight

sorry I didn't explain my point correctly....I actually had fun fighting him......but I didn't have much of a struggle like most people have....I only died 3 times against him............also....I didn't mean to use spam to say this is a cheap strategy......I was just saying the best strategy to beat him is to use magic as much as possible and dodge........I didn't say he isn't fun to fight.....what I wanted to say is.....he isn't that hard

when I said spam I didn't mean a cheap strategy...I just explained my points in the worng way and I'm terribly sorry for that.................I said that I had much fun fighting him.........but he wasn't that hard compared to Ansem who literaly kicked the living crap out of me

okay...(actually I use 1 curaga spell) I'm gonna try.....he does bring some challenge ....but I feel that I had more difficulty with KH1 Xemnas Secret boss than him

Oh he is easy compared to the ass-hats of the other games (coughMFcough) there's nothing wrong with that. He's Original like Kurt, Phantom or Ice Titan (not really plot related), which is cool imo.

to be very honest....Julius was as hard as Kurt Zisa from KH1.....I didn't have much trouble with Kurt Zisa but the battle was fun and that is what's count right????

Sora's block sucks.

For the people who want the keyblade and trophy and are still finding it difficult to kill him, you could just spam as suggested and then go back to fight him again in a different manner/with limitations to your own fighting. It's just a suggestion.

Julius got noobed by sora and riku.

Do it on Critical, less than level 40 without spamming like me, then you can make a topic like this.^^

Well, the good thing about Julius is that its easy. And that means you can try lots of different strategies to make the battle funnier.

 

I was in Critical. I was at level 46. I tried with Sora with a command deck with the basic: Curaga and Cura, to see what kind of strategy to use against him. To my surprise, I beat him in the first try. Just block, counterattack, aerial attack, heal, dodge until he dies. If you want to beat him easy, that is.

 

Later, I used to handicap myself to make the battles funnier and harder. If you just want to beat him to get the Ultima Weapon, lots of healing and counterattack.

I've beaten all the secret portals, they were easy.

So far I have not managed to even get close to defeating Julius! He is just soo fricking hard!

I try so much, I'm around level 60 with both characters and still can't manage to beat him. I use magic mostly against him and have 3 curaga's but nope.

Julius isn't the hardest secret boss of the series, I'll give you that.

But I am a far more experienced gamer now days and I still can't manage to get the jump on him.

It is really hard to defeat Julius.

just to note....I've beaten him with Sora at Level 43 on Proud mode and I got the ultima weapon for Sora

 

I still need to beat him as Riku(who's now at level 39)

Bull to the SHIT Julius was a pain in my... well you know and sephiroth was really easy tooo honestly I only died on kh 2 xemnas final zebra form because I didnt know you press x and triangle ..

first off: I didn't say he is completely Easy...I actually died a lot.......but I would argue that Julius is the easiest Secret Boss in the series......sephiroth isn't a secret boss in KH2 because he appears right after you beat the MCP...........KH1 Sephiroth was way........and I mean WAY HARDER than KH Sephiroth and Julius

0.0 I've never really liked using magic commands EXCEPT for Cure/Cura/Curaga.... I stick to attack moves, and I get my butt handed to me with Julius. Haven't been playing as of late due to school. I don't care if he's hard, he's a fun boss.

As for julius….I can see him getting easier and easier as you fight him more and more. for riku at least he is pretty simple to beat. And no need to use magic on him to attack from far, riku has a lot of attacks that can hit him hard and close. sora on the other hand he has a bit more trouble. he lacks a lot of attacks necessary to hit him close. you'll have to be at a high level fi you wanna try and atk julius close with little magic use. I actually saw a video of someone defeating julius with NO COMMANDS at all using sora
