Again, personal opinion.

I personally think Ash got even more immature with every saga that passed.

 

Not to mentioned in the Hoenn saga, Drake told him about being overconfident won't get him far, taught him that lesson and Ash still is cocky and too confident.

 

So much I can pull out that Ash has-better yet, was suppose to learn, but you get the idea; maybe he has short-term memory loss. (It would explain why he never went back to see his released Pokemon. Not counting Charizard)

They can make the old series but another one as well. That new one does not need to have over 100 episodes. One season or so could and would be enough.

If you've watched any of the later seasons, you will find that Ash has grown up a lot. Yes, he did start out as an overconfident kid, but by the time he got to Hoenn and even in the Orange Islands, he has actually thought about what he is doing in battle. And what's wrong about caring for people? Even ones you just met?

Well, when i said their friendship is "gay" I didn't quite literally mean hey are gay for liking each other. It's more of a way of saying that Ash is all about Pikachu and that's always on his mind. Don't get me wrong, I see nothing wrong with their friendship. Pikachu's one of my favorite Pokemon in the series.
