So, I and a few others have noticed that KH13 has been a bit laggy the last couple of days. Suspiciously, this started around about when we installed the new chat system. So, I'm reverting back to the old chat system for a day. Please let me know if you think the website has been laggy the last couple days (since we installed the new chat), and whether or not reverting to the old chat has fixed the lag. Hopefully we can determine if my hunch is correct (ie. that the new chat system is causing the lag). Thanks.

 

Dot points:

- 2 days ago we installed a new chat system. Do you think that since then, the website has been laggy?

i never had any lag issues 

-The site has been extremely laggy for me the past few days, though it didn't start giving me issues until several hours after the new chat was introduced, so I can't say for sure if it is related. I'm not sure yet if that has been resolved for me, since I am not currently on a computer. I'll have to check it out when I have computer access later tonight.

Now that I am home, the site still seems to be going a tiny bit slower than it usually does, but on the plus side, I can actually load something other than the home page without getting kicked off.

 

I suppose it is also worth mentioning that I use Google Chrome.

no lag for me.

The site hasn't worked this well on long time for me. I don't see any issues. 

The only lag I noticed was while I was having a conversation.  The screen would freeze when ever I got a message.  I remember being at home when that happened so it was before the chat upgrade.  Right now the site works the same as it always has.

I didn't notice any lag issues.  

But I didn't like the new chat system anyway.  Too much like Facebooks.  

(instead of a person you should just have a kingdom hearts crown that's gold when people're online and grey when they're off, or such, so it's more unique to KH13 and not like a FB clone) < Personal Opinion.

 

EDIT: I did notice quite bad lag lately, but I assumed it was youtube or something (i'm normally on KH13, Youtube, sometimes Gaia at the same time).  

However since it's turned back I haven't had a problem with lag on any of those sites (it was painfully slow yesterday trying to watch a lets play)

Also, I don't know if KH13's to blame, but a few nights ago, DNS lookups from any browser were continually failing, but I was able to access the internet from my PS3 and PSP.

Since the new chat bat is been on, the Ipad/Tablet access to KH13 is impossible; since it keeps going down everytime you try to access to the site.

 

(Though, I don't know if this is because of the new chat system).

Same here, it got really laggy for me when I tried getting on this site on Gooogle Chrome when this new chat system was installed. But when i switched to internet explorer it didn't lag at all. I think that maybe the new chat system and Google Chrome aren't compatable with each other. I really want this problem fixed so i won't have to use internet explorer just to get on Kh13.

This site has acctually been more laggy with the old one.

Site has been having start-up lag for me. Not much difference switching back the chat.

I actually had no lagging issues. Maybe the lag only applies to a certain OS. I have Vista.

It has been laggy, and is still super laggy even with the old chat bar. I thought it was just my computer, but it handles other sites just fine.

Well the notifications take too long to load, pages take a while to load, and posts take a while to post. It's not much of a bother and it doesnt happen all the time and yea it's still happening quite a bit.

The lags aren't as bad now.

I haven't experienced any lag and I've been online here every day.

I've been on since that last post I made in this thread, and there's really not a difference in the lag. Maybe the chats have nothing to do with it?
