Honestly, I'm not sure, but I think its something along the lines of

 

"Due to Square Enix being a Japanese gaming company, they created Kingdom Hearts Final Mix games strictly for Japan to give back to the Japanese gamers. Basically it's just Square Enix taking part in Nationalism."

 

Also, It's probably also got something to do with the fact that they dont think they will make enough money from it.

Japan felt bad because the american and european release had extra content that the original japanese version didn't (Mainly the super bosses, I don't recall anything else.)

 

So Japan decided to re-release the game with the extra content we had, plus some more things, to make us feel bad.

Also, I can understand Squeenix' train of thought. They're based in Japan and want their home audience to still feel special and all that crap, trying to boost sales for their franchise in the home front. It all comes down to business tactics.

I think it's just because of how successful rereleases are in Japan. I mean, look at all of the Final Fantasy "International" rereleases that come out in Japan after the game is localized for other territories.So I guess they figure no one outside of Japan would want to buy the same game twice. <_< 

the only "International" version SE has released in NA/EU is Stare Ocean The Last Hope....

all other games are "Japan version with extra contents" in NA/EU and then re-released with even more contents in Japan as "International" or in case of KH as "Final Mix"

 

I know that Nomura said that he will release a Final Mix in the west someday, too but you know....up to now no FM for us

so HD ReMIX ist the best chance to do this now!

Guess they didn't want to make their home country feel left out from the extra content we were given and also I kinda see the HD Remix as the Final Mix version for us, idk...

I dont know. At that time, would I really want a game thats the same, but has a bit more content? I would, not sure about the majority.

Personally, the Final Mix content would warrant a purchase from me. But I guess Square didn't think enough people would pick it up.

becouse japan rules. theres no way that theyed get better stuffthan us. but i'm still against it not being relesed here.

We don't know for sure but honestly it would take so much more work for them to remove the content for the English version. Not worth their time to do it honestly so I think it'll be the FM version.
