I'd say go with Re:com. It has pretty great gameplay and a great story.

Days. I've not played Re:CoM because it never came out in Europe, but I've seen all the gameplay and such. I prefer Days overall from those choices. Awesome game centred around the Organisation; only downside being the graphics.

i would have went with Re:COM but the fact that you might get stuck forever(like me)so i went with coded.

If your looking for the overall package I would get Re:COM it has both a great story and good gameplay. ReCoded has good gameplay but a weak story while Days as a great story and repetitive gameplay.

This is a tough choice; it really depends on what's most important to you in a game.  For story I would go with Re:chain of Memories, but the gameplay isn't for everyone.  Call me a nut, but I actually really enjoyed the card system.  Not everyone does, though, so that's something to consider before purchasing.

 

My second choice would be Re:Coded.  While the story isn't spectacular, the gameplay is one of the best, and really adds a lot of interesting features that other games don't.  Overall, it resembles Birth by Sleep the most, if you liked that one.

 

I wouldn't recommend 358/2 Days, to be honest...  I know some people loved it, but it just seriously disappointed me.  The storyline was good, but a little narrow-minded (they don't feature much of the Organization except for Roxas, Axel and Xion), and it didn't make up for the lack of gameplay.  The main object is to go on missions, which, after five, gets very dull.

 

Again, it really depends on what elements you're looking for in a game, but I'd personally go with Re:Chain of Memories; it's the closest to KH1 and 2.

As said, I would wait for KH 1.5 (3 games in one, bargain )

If you still want one (for xmas or whatever) get coded, and wait for 1.5.

Alternatively, buy some other game, wait for 1.5, get that, play through in order, and get Re:coded later on when you're at that point in the story.

I'd have to agree with what this person said. Although 1.5 won't have any gameplay for Days , and no disney world cutscenes, you won't be missing too much. Gameplay is very repetitive, story is good but like I said not much happens in the disney worlds..except Roxas learning about emotions, the famous "stick" scene, etc. So I'd wait for 1.5 just to get the story for Days..and also Re:CoM..not that bad when you get used to the cards, story is very well done as well.

 

All and all just get Re:coded now.. not much story but in my opinion the gameplay is good.

 

Also you could always just save your money..if Re:coded doesn't seem like your cup of tea you could just watch cutscenes online. Personally being the crazed fan I am I pre-order whatever comes out with a Kingdom Hearts title, but there would really be nothing wrong with just watching cutscenes. They're all pretty cheap now so I guess it wouldn't matter but..I'd say get Re:coded.

Don't make the same this mistake I did and buy Re:Coded. It fails in almost everyway a game can. Here's why: 

Gameplay: BBS wannabe, level-up system is very...buggy (no pun intended)

 

Story: You could read the wikipedia page and get about the same amount of 'immersive' story it has. Overly used worlds, overly used storyline in the worlds, very disappointing for a Kingdom Hearts game

 

Other problems I had: Only two save slots, very laggy when there are too many enemies on screen (pardon me for a moment , YOU FAIL, SQUEENIX!), very little replay value, no new bosses in here, all of them are re-hashes of old ones, the graphics in DAYS are much better, need I go on to the "IT'S A FAIL REMAKE OF Kingdom Hearts I FOR THE DS' rant anymore?

No problem.  And yeah, I think we pretty much all contradicted each other, haha!  Anyway, good luck finding the best Kingdom Hearts game for you!  You'll probably like whichever game you decide to go with.  It's Kingdom Hearts, after all, and with that you can hardly go wrong.

It depends on what you're looking for but I'd go for ReCoM. Days and Re:C arguably aren't "needed" and serve more as background information than anything. Re:CoM contributes most to the story. 

I'd go for Re:CoM since you get to play as Sora and Riku and the story is very well-written and the card system is fun, but if you want to wait for 1.5 then I say go with Re:Coded.

Re:Chain of Memories. Judging by the playthroughs I've seen, the gameplay is awesome, and the card system just can't be compared to the gameplay in a DS.
