So, do you buy new games on the day that it is released? Or do you just wait for a while to buy it?

Most of the time I wait. On rare occasions I'll buy it on release day.

If the game starts with Kingdom and then Hearts, then yes I do pick them up on day 1. Otherwise I wait for a price drop. cB

Depends how good the game is. Games like Metal Gear I buy in day one or anything that comes from vALVE, but normally I just chill out until there is some reviews of it and if I know that for example Steam Sales are coming soon. 

Always wait between 2-3 months.

I don't wait purposefully, but usually I'll get a game within a week of its release.  Sometimes I've bought the game the day of its release (Kingdom Hearts 3D, for example), but I don't always.  I don't wait for the price to drop, though, mainly because it never does enough to make much of a difference to me.

It depends on the game. The last game I got in release date was Dream Drop Distance.

The only two games I've gotten on the first day of release were Pokemon Conquest and Lollipop Chainsaw. Other than those, I usually wait a few months until a price drop happens (or if I can snag a cheap used copy off of ebay :V)

Only games I am really hyped or excited for.

If it's supposed to be a really good game, or if it's something I really really want I will pre-order or buy on the first day. If not I'll wait till a good sale and get it 83

Most time i wait a while but if it is Kingdom Hearts game then I have that game pre-order months before it comes out

I've only done so with The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which ended up coming super late despite pre ordering it, and KH3D.  In the future I'd probably only by them on release date if they were KH games or Zelda games.

I didn't know about the series until Tales of the Abyss 3DS. I was interested in the game before it came out, but I didn't decide to get it until after it released. 

Should any come out on a console I own in the future, then I'll definitely pre-order and get them day one.

Yes.  I've waited for a while and I want to play the game as soon as I can.

I got 358/2 Days the day before it was released. Got Re:coded and KH3D on the day of their release.
