As everyone is aware Japan is releasing an HD collection of the first three kingdom hearts games. Now if this releases in North America(which it very well may) and Nomura stated eventually we would get A final mix, the title is reMIX so will this be the mix were getting,or will our copy have the original Kingdom Hearts?

Yes, we are aware of the HD Collection.

Good question.  I'm assuming that if the 1.5 reMIX releases in North America that we'll likely be getting the Final Mix version of Kingdom Hearts, but I cannot say for sure.

Pretty sure if it's released here it will be the Final Mix versions of the game. They wouldn't take time to downgrade it for an oversea's release lol

It would be more work to take the FM out of the game so it'll probably be in there if it comes to other countries.

From a convenience standpoint I would think giving us the final mix too would be better, they would already have it in HD with the new features and what ever, they would just have to localize it right? Rather than taking the non final mix version of the game, and tweaking it for HD, ps3, etc, that seems like a step backwards that would take more time imo.

The Final Mix is in the Japanese version so it would firstly make sense for it to be there because of that.

 

But also it wouldn't make sense for Square Enix to give themselves extra work by having to touch up an entirely different game (meaning the NA version of Kingdom Hearts 1).

 

But who knows. They'll probably chuck in an entirely different game or something =P

It'll be the FM version. The original version was not updated for HD and all the other goodies they're putting in Re:MIX so they would have to start a whole different project to update the original.

Wouldn't make sense to keep out FM, but this is Square and we've seen what they can do.

Think about the name for a second. ReMIX.

Now think about how Nomura likes to use vague language.

Nomura has repeatedly stated that Final Mixes are Japan exclusives.

But this isn't called Final Mix, is it?

You know what a remix is right? This is a mix between games.

We must be happy if we get the HDCollection with final mix or not.

Because Nomura LOVES to keep the best shit in Japan. Him giving us just plain KH definitely sounds like something he would do to us, seeing as he does it for EVERY game release to some degree like that. He even stated in interviews (long ago, though.) that America would in fact never, ever get a Final Mix version of any game. Only time will tell, though...

Without Final Mix,there is no ReMIX in the title...

They're not making remix with a normal KH, because that would involve editing too much of the game, what doesn't make any sense, they'd be just wasting their time.

This happened the other day in a 3DS game. They made TotA from PS2 and created a 3DS version, and the original game had difference between Japanese and English versions. They didn't bother editing it again, because what's the point?
