There are classes, don't worry. At least in Virginia, you take a mandatory economics class junior year, where you talk about most of that stuff.

^ Same in Illinois.  But, God, how does someone not know how to vote?  It's just filling in a bubble next to the name of the person you want elected >.<

^I'm in Ohio, and we take Government and Economics classes Sophomore Year.

I don't know how to do most of that stufff.... I don't know anything about taxes, or how to vote, or how to write a check in a check book, or loans or college or how to jump start a car, or how to buy a car or house.

But I do know the the pythagorean theorem.

Personal finance for the resume/cover letter/job and accounting for banking and loans I guess. And both should have you learn how to write a check, I learned how to write one in the 7th grade =_=

I learned more of this stuff from my parents than school. They proved to be better teachers in some parts of my life xD

>What political parties are and all that other political jazz

>All that monetary stuff

did this person sleep through gov and econ class?

as far as resumé, cover letter etc go, I learned all that in a food and life skills class in middle school, and then again during freshman year of HS in english class.

Here they taught how to do a check book in 5th grade o_o and in high school they have a governance/politics class or something like that but its not mandatory. But yeaaa that list is so true :3 Oh and We learned political parties in 5th grade too I think ._.

I did have an economics and government class my senior year of highschool, so I suppose that covers some stuff.  In college there are classes you can take about planning your career and such, which includes how to write a resume.  At least they had one at my community college.

I'm just a freshman right now so I guess I'll just take that eco and gov class when I can.

Senior year, you take one semester in Economy, and another in Government. I have one more year until this :/
